“Okay, Cilla stays here until we’ve got this asshole. She won’t like it, but she has no choice. If she makes a run for it, take her to your room and keep her with you,” Tracker says the last with amusement in the tone of his voice. I can see he’s enjoying the image he has in his head of Cilla causing a ruckus.

“You like her, don’t you, Pres?” I ask, and when he smirks adding a nod but no comment I know he finds her interesting and amusing. “You know she could dig up our secrets don’t you?”

“Yeah, she could, but she won’t. I’m sure she’s not that kind of person. It’s gonna be interesting when all the brothers are here at the clubhouse. I wonder whose mother will come and poke fingers next?” Tracker chuckles, and I shake my head because I can imagine he’d enjoy anything that would come from that.

All the brothers are in church and waiting for Tracker to speak. Everyone is on edge with this ZeBach shit going on, but now that Cilla has been targeted it’s not sitting well with any of us.

“Okay, Cilla’s house has been ransacked, as you all know. Keys has been over there and placed cameras so we can see if anything else happens. He’s also placed more locks on the entry points. The bastard is not getting in again without us knowing. Now, Cilla is going to be staying here and I’m telling you all, ifyou see her sneaking away you stop her." Tracker smirks and we all know that look. It’s the one that hopes she makes a break for it so he can watch the chase and enjoy the moment she’s caught and raises hell about it. “Moving on, ZeBach is close and we have to be ready. All businesses are closed, and you are all on duty here. I want all security measures set, and it looks like we have a snitch. Let’s hope whoever it is gets away before I find them, because they are not going to last long when I do.”

“Pres, we all know it’s not a brother sitting in this room. We’ve all had each other’s backs for a long time. Some of us,” Winger, who is speaking gives Snake a nasty look, pointedly, which has Snake doing his best to stare back, but he has to drop his gaze first. “...need to be watched, but only a tiny minority. I think we should check the prospects and the club women. How about we ask Cilla to check people out too, with her unseen friends?”

Nods of agreement ripple around the room, and some I notice are giving Snake more than a glance. Yeah, something feels wrong with him, and he’s an older brother in terms of length in the club, and his actual age. He should be solid, but he feels shifty.

“Arm up, be ready. I want to know where he is, and we are taking the fight to him. We do what we do best. We’ve done it when in the service, we’ve done it as paid mercenaries for the service, now we do it for ourselves,” Tracker looks at every brother and gets the response he wants and expects. “Keys, find out where he is, even if you have to ask Cilla for help. We find him, eliminate him, and come home.”

“Will do, Pres. I had been tracking him, then suddenly he went off my radar. I think we have someone warning him about where we are. I think we have someone talking to this assassin, bomber, or whatever you want to label him. I have thoughts onwho, but no proof yet so I’ll keep it to myself for now,” Keys replies.

It’s easy to see he is on to something, but he’s not one for giving out inaccurate information, so he’ll only share when he’s ready. Nobody can or will push him because we know it will be pointless.

“Now, changing the subject. The tattoo shop in town is up for sale. Does anyone know why?” Tracker waits for any response.

“I heard that Lulu, the tattoo shop owner, is selling up and moving to Canada. How true that is I don’t know,” Judge shrugs as he says his piece.

Tread replies. “What about Scribe? He’s the best for three states, and he has a waiting list that stretches to ten weeks.”

“Maybe he doesn’t have the cash to buy the place,” Coin suggests. “We could buy it and employ him, or make him a percentage owner?”

Phoenix taps his hand on his knee. “I reckon that’s a damn good idea, Coin. He’s solid, and he works hard. The last person who hired a chair in the place only lasted six weeks because they couldn’t compete with the caliber of Scribe’s work.”

“Okay, find out what Lulu wants for the place. Speak to Scribe about working with us as a co-owner or employee. He’d make a good brother if we could pull him in." Tracker rubs his chin in thought, but shakes his head as he brings his attention back to the meeting.

“I’ll speak to Scribe, Pres. I’ve had a few beers with him at the bar so I’ll be able to get the question out there,” Hot Rod waits for Pres to give him the go-ahead. Once he’s got the nod, he leans back in his seat once more.

“Okay, let’s call it for now. I want you all in position and ready for my call. We are going to take this fucker out as soon as we have him nailed down,” Tracker gives us the look that says he’s done and we all make our way out of church.

Now I have to tell Cilla that she’s not going home, and more than likely she’ll make a dash for it. Glancing over my shoulder, I shake my head because I can see Tracker is waiting for just that to happen and the aftermath of it.

Chapter 11

CILLA

I’ve been in the kitchen with the ladies who cook and clean at the clubhouse. They’re all great and fun to be around. They swapped out, so I spent time with each of the four. I can’t choose who I like best.

The kitchen door opens, and Finger walks inside. He gives me a look I don’t like. I raise an eyebrow, and he nods at me to follow him, and you know his expression is unreadable, which is worrying.

Following Finger to an office I’ve not been to previously I take a seat at a small table on one side of the room. Finger takesthe seat next to mine and faces me. “I’ve been to your house, Cilla. I picked up some clothing for you because you are going to be staying here at the clubhouse until we catch this guy that’s after you. But when I got to your house, it had been broken into and ransacked. Not your belongings, like clothing. It was a tantrum where the guy tossed stuff about because you were not there. The prospects have gone over to the house to clean up, and Keys is having cameras and extra locks put on the place.”

“This guy isn’t going to stop, is he?” I ask Finger while I feel like crying.

“No, I don’t think he is. We need to put a stop to him, but he is moving positions before we can grab him. If Bono or anyone else you have contact with can help, then we’d be grateful. Tank and Pyro are passed over, and they were badass brothers. If they were with Bono, I’m sure they’d help us.” Now, Finger laughs as he says that, but he has no idea he has just called the brothers forward, and I’m seeing two men stroll up and give shit-eating grins right at me.

“You just had to do that didn’t you, Finger?” I snap, but my eyes are still on the two guys who are standing with their arms folded over their chests and watching Finger and I. “Where are you, Bono?” I snarl, but I’m giving Finger a nasty look at the same time.

“What did I just have to do?”

“Call these two assholes forward. You know that I’m looking at two men that you mentioned, and now they are here. Which one is Tank, or is he the one that is about 6’4”, short military haircut and a scar above his left eyebrow?”

“Jesus Christ, how did you know that?” Finger snaps as he jumps to his feet.
