The moment ended as soon as his knot subsided and Nylune tapped his shoulder. Adew pulled back and stared down at the omega before he rolled onto his back. Nylune slid off the bed and walked out of the room.

Just like that, Adew dropped his hand over his eyes and groaned, feeling a little hurt. He shoved the feeling away. This was an experiment, he thought, getting out of bed. He winced as the WAB tightened around his body. Uh-oh, he shouldn’t have fucked in the thing. Ajin was going to kill him.

Nylune

I’m not hiding from him, Nylune told himself.

He paced from the chaise to his desk, stopping every few seconds to listen to Adew move around the house. Maybe he shouldn’t have left him in the room the way he did but…he had to get away from him. Nylune’s heart pounded hard as he thought of the way Adew held him while his knot pulsated deliciously inside his hole, his arms tight around his body. It had felt so good – so perfect, he’d yearned for something he shouldn’t. For a second, he’d wanted the whole thing to be real, for Adew to be his real alpha.

Tears prickled his eyes, and he blinked them away.

“You’ll be healed after this, don’t forget,” Nylune told himself. “Now stop hiding.” He walked to the door and opened it slightly. He checked the coast before he rushed to the cooking station, but Adew was there. The sight of him took his breath away.

Nylune gulped.

“You cooked dinner,” he stated the obvious.

“Yes. Shocking, right?”

“No…” Nylune dragged air into his lungs, feeling awkward. “I didn’t mean it like that. I just…”

“I know. I’m playing with you. Come sit. Dinner will be ready in a few minutes,” he said. “You were in your office for so long. I thought you’ll never come out.”

“I…uhh…” Nylune blushed.

Adew laughed. “You don’t have to be shy if you were working.”

“What?”

“You told me you test pleasuring bots, remember? So, I thought…” Adew said with a shrug. Nylune’s cheeks heated. “Was I wrong?”

Yes. But Nylune wasn’t going to tell him that.

“I’m not shy about my work. I’m proud of it,” Nylune said. “I’ve contributed a lot to the health and well-being of every omega out there. The pleasuring bots Ludiin creates are made with love and care. And I’m part of that.”

“You sound passionate about your job. Makes me feel better about myself because people think I’m overly passionate about UA. But if you don’t love what you do why even bother, right?”

“Right,” Nylune laughed. “What’s life without passion?”

“Boring. And we can’t have that,” Adew said, moving to dish up their food. He placed a plate in front of him.

“Do you want to go and eat outside?” Nylune asked. “I usually have my dinner in my garden.”

“Of course.” Adew picked up their plates.

“I was going to get that.”

“I got it, don’t worry.”

“Uhmm…I’ll get us something to drink then.” Nylune moved to the chilling compartment and pulled out his favourite spirit. The smoky flavour was what he needed after everything that happened today. And he hoped Adew would like it too. He filled two glasses and followed the alpha to the backyard.

Nylune realized too late that he only had one lounge chair out there, and Adew was sitting on it with a tiny space left for him. The alpha stared at him expectantly.

“Here,” Nylune said handing him the glass. He looked around for a place to sit, but Adew dragged him down.

“Stop overthinking everything and sit,” he said. Nylune sat down next to him, and the alpha’s body heat enveloped him. He shivered, biting the inside of his mouth to keep from moaning. “We’ve been closer than this.”
