“I’m fine,” Deltta said. He pulled out his connector and stared at it. Should he connect with him?
No. He needed to concentrate on his presentation. Deltta hoped everything went well for him. Mac was good. He deserved a chance to sell his spirits to the whole planet, to be successful and live a fulfilling life. He was the sweetest omega, and he wanted him to be his.
Deltta hoped he connected with him soon.

Mac
The silence was killing him.
Mac nervously sat across Ashur and his beta assistant. He watched them sample his creations. They haven’t said a word since they started, and Mac wasn’t sure if they liked any of the samples; their faces gave nothing away.
Jamue took his hand under the table, squeezing it.
“Breathe,” he whispered.
Fuck. Mac forced his lungs to expand. Ever since morning, he could barely draw a breath. He felt like a boulder sat on his chest, robbing him of air. Mac smoothed his free hand down his thigh, taking in another breath.
Just breathe, Mac, he told himself, feeling like he was drowning.
Ashur cleared his throat.
Mac looked up at him. The alpha and beta smiled.
“Wow, I’m impressed,” he said. “We’ll order two of each sample, and if our customers like your spirits we’ll order more.”
“They’re going to love them,” Jamue said confidently. He got to his feet and shook hands with their clients. Mac forced a smile to his lips and did the same.
“You’re truly talented, Mac,” the beta said, giving his hand a longer shake. Before meeting Deltta, he would have been flattered by his attention, but now he just made him uncomfortable.
“Thank you,” Mac forced out. He took back his hand as Jamue discussed prizes and a possible partnership with Ashur.
Damn, everything was happening so fast – getting complicated. Much like his relationship with Deltta. Mac shook his head, shoving Deltta out of his mind.
They concluded their meeting with Jamue promising to forward them the necessary documents to finalize everything.
Mac took Jamue’s hand. They walked out of the leisure room; his heart beat hard and fast in his chest because of what he had to do.
“You’re taking me to your brother, right?” Mac said.
Jamue’s fingers tightened around his.
“If that’s what you want.”
They walked in silence to the nearest shuttle service. Jamue ordered a shuttle, and within minutes they drifted down the airways, heading to where his brother was.
Mac was surprised when they stopped at the famous health center - Dladr Academy health center. It was well-known across the planet. And its founder, Dr Micha was a brilliant alpha. The shuttle proceeded to enter the center’s parking dome.
“Are we allowed to go in there?” he asked, assuming only staff used the parking dome.
“Yes. My brother will be meeting us.” Jamue explained. Mac stared at him, waiting for him to say more, but he didn’t. They drifted to a stop. Jamue got out and turned to the double doors that slid open to reveal none other than Dr Micha. Jamue stepped close to the alpha, wrapping his arms around him.
They’re brothers.
Mac gawked at them. Everything he knew about Jamue ran through his mind. He’d figured he was from an affluent family. His clothes, the little things he owned, said it all. But he never imagined…he was from the Micha family.
Why the hell was he in the commune house?
