He shoved the woman down the stairs as he dropped.

Luciano grabbed her while Carrera and Teddy thundered upstairs. Into the first room they flew.

Empty.

“Clear,” Teddy murmured.

Second room, a naked man stood over a mattress where two naked women huddled close.

“Consensual?” Carrera asked.

One of the women shook her head.

“Close your eyes,” Teddy said to the women.

The second they did—POP! POP! POP!—Teddy dropped the guy.

“Take them downstairs,” Carrera said.

“I need to clear the last bedroom with you,” Teddy said.

“Go. I got this.”

Carrera bolted out of the room, heading toward the closed door at the end of the hall. With his gun drawn, he opened the door, but kept his back flush against the wall.

Silence.

He waited.

“Hello?” called a woman. “Are you police?”

Carrera knew he could be walking into a trap, but he would take that risk. With his gun at the ready, he stepped into the room, and his brain stuttered to a stop.

Three mattresses lay on the floor while eight women sat on them, their feet chained to the floor.

“What the fuck?”

“Bathroom,” one of the women whispered.

Carrera cleared the closet, then strode into the bathroom.

Glazer crouched near the toilet.

What a fitting way to die, like the piece of shit he was.

“Glazer,” Carrera bit out.

The man looked up, fear shining in his beady eyes.

“Any last words?” Carrera asked.

“I was cleared of any wrongdoing,” Glazer bit out. “I’m innocent.”

“Sure you are.” Carrera raised his weapon.

“Spare me,” Glazer bleated.

“Tell the devil I’m gonna chase him until the day I die.”
