Miguel groaned. “Do you think you could ummm…do that thing I like?”

“Anything for you, baby.” Hector reached into the nightstand for the lube, pouring some on his fingers. He purposely stayed away from Miguel’s shaft as he worked his finger inside. Instead, he kissed his inner thighs and the thin skin over his hip bone. Once Miguel was relaxed and open, and Hector had his finger pressed to his lover’s sensitive prostate, he licked his way up Miguel’s shaft and took the head back into his mouth. Miguel cried out at the dual sensations, raising his legs to drape them over Hector’s shoulders and reaching down to grab at his hair.

Hector’s own erection throbbed at his partner’s enthusiastic response. But he ignored it. This was all for Miguel. Hector gave him the pleasure he deserved, taking Miguel all the way until his stomach was sucked in tight and his thighs trembled against the sides of Hector’s face.

“I’m…I’m coming!”

Hector pulled off and stroked Miguel through his release. He moaned loudly as he came, thrusting his hips up, painting his torso with cum with every pump of Hector’s fist. And Hector watched him, loving that Miguel was so free with him, and that they were finally able to be together like this.

When Miguel finally went limp, Hector moved back up his lover’s body until they were face to face. “Want to go back and look at more Pinterest?”

Miguel looked at him, his eyes dazed and cheeks flushed. “Pin… What?”

Hector grinned. “Never mind,” he said just before he leaned down for a kiss.

Chapter 21

Amy slumped over on the reception desk in exaggerated exhaustion. “This has been the longest day. Every year the schedule is packed with kids getting their yearly exams before they go on Christmas vacation. I always say I’ll be ready. But I’m never ready. There are just too many. It feels like I fought a war.”

“I know, right? I swear I have battle wounds from that little four-year-old trying to bite me.” Miguel held his finger up, pretending to check for bite marks. But really, he was flashing his engagement ring. Again. He loved his ring and was still in awe that he had it. “Nope. No bite marks here. Whew! Thank goodness,” he said as he pretended to wipe sweat from his forehead.

Amy laughed. “You’re so cheeky. I guess that gorgeous ring protected you from sharp little milk teeth.” She got up to lock the front door. Just as she reached it, it slammed open, knocking her to the ground.

“Oh, my god, are you okay?” Miguel went over to help her up. He looked toward the door, ready to chew out whoever had been so rude. “Santos,” he breathed the name in disbelief. His old boyfriend stood there, face hard, eyes narrowed. “What are you doing here?” Santos raised his hand and Miguel immediately froze in terror. He couldn’t believe his eyes. Santos was pointing a big, black gun directly at his face. Miguel immediately held his hands up. “Santos, please don’t do this.” Santos ignored him and looked at Amy.

“Get up and lock the door.”

But Amy didn’t move. She, too, was frozen on the spot, her eyes opened wide in fear.

“Get up!”

Miguel forced himself to move into Santos’s line of sight, blocking Amy from view. “I’ll do it. Just stay calm, okay?” He held his hand out behind him to his terrified coworker. “Amy, give me the keys.” Her hand shaking so much the keys jingled, she passed them over. Once he had the keys, Miguel grasped her hand and pulled her to her feet. “Why are you here, Santos? Did you want to talk to me?”

Santos scoffed. “Talk. Does it look like I’m here to fucking talk?”

“Okay, okay. But maybe you can let her leave. She doesn’t need to be here while we sort things out between us, right? She doesn’t matter to us.”

Santos lowered the gun slightly. But he didn’t move, remaining in his wide-legged stance where he partially blocked the doorway. He was using his body to intimidate, and it was working. Amy was clearly too scared to walk past him, but she needed to get out of there.

“Come on, Amy. It’s okay.” He started walking forward, keeping his body between her and Santos. Once she was outside, Miguel locked the door as ordered. She didn’t have her purse, cell, or car keys, but even without them, she was better off out there than inside the office with a gunman. Santos grabbed his arm and yanked him away from the door. Miguel put his hands back up.

“Okay, Santos. You’ve got my attention.”

“You’re goddamn right I have your attention. If you’d given it to me when I saw you in the grocery store, it wouldn’t have fucking come to this.”

Blame. Santos always blamed him anytime things went wrong between them. It was bullshit, but Miguel wasn’t going to call him on it while Santos held a gun to his head. “I’m listening. Just please, don’t point that at me.”

Santos smiled, but it was wild and not even close to friendly. A hyena’s grin. “Why not? All of a sudden you don’t like gun play?”

Miguel shook his head. “I don’t. I never did. I…I was just too scared to speak up.”

“You’re fucking lying, Miguel. Either you were lying then or you’re lying now! Which one is it?”

A trap. No matter what he said it would be the wrong answer. “I didn’t mean to lie, Santos.”

“Forget that. I want to know why you left. I treated you right, bought you everything you wanted. Hell, I bought you shit you didn’t even know you wanted. You didn’t have to work. I took care of you. And you leave me to marry some fucking cop making thirty Gs a year?”

Shit. Santos had heard about his upcoming wedding. And he was taking it as a personal affront that he’d chosen Hector over him. Miguel would have to be careful in how he handled this. He never would have thought Santos would risk his empire just to get back at him. Yet, here they were. “Santos, I appreciated everything you did for me.”
