Carnage moans, slamming his mouth into mine. As we kiss, he snaps his hips, fucking me so deeply that I wonder how much I can take before I simply combust from all this desire. My cock rubs against his stomach, but it’s not enough. I reach between us, but Carnage smacks my hand away, taking over as he lifts himself up.

He strokes my cock in time with his thrusts, and I dig my fingers into the sheets, wrapping my legs around his waist.

Carnage is a man on a mission, pounding into me, and he looks so good I almost want to cry. His curly hair bounces with his movements and his eyes burn as they search mine. His full, parted lips tempt me to taste them again, but he’s in charge, and I want him to be.

“Fuck, Rue,” Carnage grits out, his voice shaky. “Gonna come. Gonna fill you up.”

“Yes. Yes, please. Want you. All of you.”

He grunts and his rhythm stutters as his body tenses, his muscles tightening and veins popping in his arms. I grip his pecs, stunned by how incredible he looks as his cock thickens and spasms inside me.

My orgasm hits with such intensity that I open my mouth to scream, but no sound comes out. My vision flashes white, and I arch into Carnage as tears slide down my cheeks.

The stretch is intense, but all that is washed away by the reality of what’s happening. His thrusts slow as he empties into me then drops down and buries his face in the crook of my neck.

I wrap my arms around him, kissing the side of his head with my fingers buried in his hair. He’s heavy, we’re both sticky with sweat and cum, and I’ve never felt happier in my life.

“I’m so fucking screwed,” Carnage whispers, shocking me.

“I’m sorry, what?”

He lifts his head, searching my eyes. “You. How did you do…?” He shakes his head.

“I’m confused. Wasn’t that good?”

“Good?” He scoffs. “You have no idea how fucking delectable you are. How perfect you are. Now that I’ve had you, experienced all that you are, there’s no way I can let you go.”

“What?”

“I was committed to helping you get your life back on track and encouraging you to do anything you wanted, and in some ways, I still am, but you weren’t supposed to…” He pauses again, dragging his hand through his unruly curls. “You weren’t supposed to affect me. You weren’t supposed to make me want this. Your personality is adorable and compelling and there are so many unexplored layers to you… And then this. Tonight. I’m sorry, Rue, but I’m keeping you.”

CHAPTER 16

Rue

My thoughts stutterlike a record scratch. “Keeping me?”

Carnage shakes his head. “Fuck. I’m screwing this up already. I sound like a kidnapper, don’t I?”

“Kind of, yeah.”

“I’ve never asked for this. I don’t know how to.”

“Asked for what, Carnage?”

He searches my eyes as he raises his hands to cup my face. “Asked someone to stay. I’ve never wanted it before, but I can’t imagine letting you walk out of my life and never seeing you again.”

“Oh.” I puzzle over his confusing words. “You want to date me?”

“Date?” He scoffs, shaking his head. “No. I mean, I guess? Is that what it’s called? I’ve never done romance before, but dating sounds too casual. Too temporary. I want you to stay. Call it whatever you want.”

“Stay here? Like, just move in? I barely know you. It’s all new and exciting right now, but that wears off.”

His brow creases. “You don’t like me that much?”

“Of course I like you.”

“Oh. You’re scared of me.” Carnage nods. “I understand.”
