I never noticed before, nor paid any attention to it in the first place, but Luan and I must be about the same size. I’m taller than he is, but he has more muscles than I do which makes my clothes the perfect size for him. The shirt isn’t too loose or too wide, it just fits perfectly. So do my shorts.

“I have decided something,” Luan announces, getting closer to me with every word. By the time he says the last word, he stands right in front of me, between my legs, his hands lying on my shoulders, our gazes locked.

“You love ice hockey?” It would be a miracle if he did.

Luan shakes his head. “No, but I’m going to watch every game of yours anyway. And if I’m at work while you play, I’ll make sure I at least get some notifications about the score to be up to date.”

I lay my hands on the back of his thighs, at first without even noticing, but then the heat of his body almost burns my palms. Every inch of his body that touches mine is awfully hot, kind of like they’re burning themselves a way right into my memory.

“So what did you decide then?” I ask, my voice low, almost a whisper.

Luan slides his hands down, following my arms until his hands meet mine. He pulls them up until they rest somewhere between his hips and waist instead. And then his hands find my jaw, enveloping my face.

“I have decided,” he speaks quietly, his voice lower than usual as well, “that I’m going to keep your clothes as a souvenir.”

“Okay.” I pull him in a little closer. “What do I get to keep?”

He smiles again, then strokes his thumb over my bottom lip. Luan doesn’t move in to kiss me, he’s just looking, touching me and somehow that’s even worse than if he just pressed his lips to mine.

“What do youwantto keep?”

Without thinking, I pull up his shirt enough to sneak my hands underneath, needing to feel his skin on mine. He doesn’t stop me.

“What do you have to offer?”

His smile grows a little smug, still sweet and innocent though. Then he leans down, his mouth by my ear when he says, “It doesn’t matter what I have to offer, Grey Davis. I’d give you anything. It’s about what you’re willing to take.”

I can’t sleep

Like, not at all

Hello?

It’s only three in the morning for me, Grey Davis. So it should be around six for you.

Please wake up.

Night, Luan.

I just got home from practice, and honestly, I thought I was going to freeze to death!

Well, I supposed fifty degrees is still warmer than whatever you have over there in NYC. Wait, aren’t you like in Canada right now for a game? If so, yikes!

I’m definitely a summer guy. A beach guy. Snow is awful.

Actually, I don’t know if snow is awful, I’ve never even seen snow in my entire life.

Just go to Toronto for the winter, you’ll see snow.
