Everything and everyone else didn’t matter. Only Chelsea mattered. If she was pregnant and wanted our kid, I would stand by her and if she thought we weren’t ready then that was fine as well. As long as she let me stand by her side when she made that decision.

It was the longest ride of my life. Every mile seemed more like a hundred. And by the time I pulled up outside Chelsea’s house I was vibrating with pent up energy.

There were several cars I recognised on the street. One was Ruins which meant Avery was here. And so by the looks of it was Cali.

Seeing their cars here made my heart beat a bit faster. Where they inside comforting her? Was I already too late?

Using my fist I slammed it into the front door, making it shake.

“Wicked?” Avery stepped back in shock as I barrelled my way inside. I didn’t hesitate. I would apologise for almost knocking her on her ass later.

“Wicked what’s happened?” I could hear her heels as she followed me but I didn’t turn.

“Wicked?” Chelsea was half up from the sofa when I skidded to a stop in front of her. She didn’t look upset. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes shining but she looked shocked to see me.

They all looked shocked.

“Chelsea.” I couldn’t look anywhere but at her. The heart-shaped face, the hair that fell in waves over the shoulders of her hoodie. Reaching for her I cupped her cheeks in my hands.

Someone gasped but I was past caring. Drawing her towards my body I searched her face. “Chelsea I am crazy about you. If you're pregnant we will work something out. Whatever you want to do I will support you.” My eyes darted around. Looking but not really seeing the women who were wall staring at us with their mouths open.

“Whatever you want Chelsea. Just let me support you…”

“Wicked.” She looked panicked. But she didn’t pull away. “I don’t….” She shook her head.

“I know I’ve been a jerk, Chelsea. But you have to give me this chance. If we are going to have a baby then we need to do this together.” The hand that I had been cupping her cheek with slid down to her stomach.

Her beautiful stomach. She could be carrying my child inside of her body right now. Or she could have …. I didn’t finish the thought.

“What are you on about Wicked?” She honestly looked puzzled. “I’m not pregnant.”

“Are you sure?” I sounded like a moron but I just didn’t care.

“Yes, I’m sure.” She tried to step away and my arms tightened around her. My head turned to the room. My eyes scanning.

There were baby things on the table. Half opened presents. I had stormed in without even looking and interrupted what looked like a baby shower.

Cali was there, her hand on her swollen stomach. My brother’s old lady was staring at me with her mouth open.

And I didn’t care. I didn’t care what any of them thought.

“I don’t care if you are or not.” Lowering my head to Chelsea I leant my forehead against hers. Our breaths mingling. “I fucking love you, Chelsea.”

Chapter Nineteen

Chelsea

He loved me.

Wicked had finally said the words that I had been dreaming about hearing. And he had done it in the middle of Cali’s baby shower.

I could feel their eyes on me. But I couldn’t turn away from Wicked. I wasn’t sure who the hell had told him that I was pregnant but whoever it was I couldn’t bring myself to be too angry with them. They had made Wicked own up to his feelings.

Reaching up I drew his head down to mine, my lips hungry against his. My hand curling into his hair.

“You are in love with my sister?”
