“Don’t push your luck little sister.” Ruin growled but there was a smile on his face.

“I can give you a ride Chelsea. I’m heading that way on a run next week.” Wicked’s voice was oddly quiet, slowly I turned my head in his direction.

“No thanks Wicked. I want to get settled in this weekend so if my big brother can’t lend me a car I will take the bus.” I shrugged. “It might even be fun taking the bus. Freeing. And anyway I wouldn’t want to take you away from the club.” And Melody, I added silently.

“I honestly don’t mind.” Something that looked like pleading filled his eyes.

“It’s fine Wicked. You’re going to be president soon. Your days of babysitting are long gone. I will take her. Me, Avery and Parker. We can make a trip of it.” My brother’s arms went around my waist.

“Yeah, your days of baby babysitting are over Wicked.” I winked at him, and his scowl deepened.

The anger he was famous for was shining out of his eyes as he looked at me. “Maybe you should wait a few more months, it might not be safe.”

Throwing back my head I laughed. Was that how he was going to play it? That he suddenly cared about my safety? It was comical. Wicked didn’t care about anyone but his dick.

“I’m going back to school.” I set my shoulders. “There is no discussion and no one is going to change my mind. Not you,” I pointed at Ruin before moving it on to Wicked. “And especially not you. You aren’t my brother Ryan. You aren’t my family. You are my brother’s friend so stop trying to have a say in my life.”

Turning on my heel I walked away. My boots stomping. Behind me, I could hear my brother laughing. “Well, I guess that told us.” But I ignored them all.

All I wanted to do was get the hell out of this hellhole.

“Do you want to explain to me what the fuck that was about?” Wicked kicked shut my bedroom door with his heel. His bulk filling the whole frame.

Glancing up from my packing I arched an eyebrow at him. “Have you ever heard of knocking asshole?”

He had some cheek coming in here uninvited and shouting at me.

“I could have been changing or….”

He crossed the floor with a growl. His long legs making short work of the distance. And his hand was cruel as it closed around my bicep. Dragging me towards him.

My heart fluttered into my throat making it hard to swallow. “I’ve seen you naked Chelsea.” Breathing deeply he pressed his nose into my hair. “I can’t stop thinking about you.” He admitted.

Every atom of me wanted to wrap my arms around his neck, to drag his face down to mine so I could kiss his sinfully full lips. But I didn’t. I couldn’t go back down this path again with him again. Not with him.

Not when tonight he would share a bed with another woman.

“I can’t stop thinking about the way you smell or the taste of your skin. You are driving me insane.” He carried on regardless. His eyes half-closed. “Ever since that night, yours is the only face I see Chelsea. Just yours and it’s making me fucking nuts.”

He was saying everything I had ever wanted him to say. For years I had dreamt of him saying it and now it just seemed hollow.

He was with someone else.

“Wicked….”

“Don’t Chelsea, unless your next words are going to be that you are staying I don’t want to hear them.”

“You have a girlfriend.” I stepped away.

Wicked’s face tightened. His eyes darting away. “She’s not my wife or old lady Chelsea.” He said it like that made a difference.

It didn’t. Not to me anyway. “But she still gets you, doesn’t she? Or do you want to go and tell my brother that me and you hooked up on valentines night? Do you want to tell the club what you just told me?”

A shadow passed over his face. “You know I can’t do that Chelsea.”

“Of course you can’t. I remember you told me once that you would fuck me and leave me. I didn’t listen then, I didn’t believe you would hurt me. But I believe you now Wicked. I believe you. You were right there can never be anything between us because you will never see me as anything but someone you want to fuck.”
