I wasn’t oblivious though. I was like a hawk. Especially when Young Blood stepped up behind Cali. His hands reaching for her hips. My brows slammed down.
He didn’t pull her towards him at least but he still thought it was ok to lay hands on her.
“What the fuck….” I mumbled it.
“They are just dancing Truth, relax.” Ruin didn’t sound too worried and I knew I shouldn’t be. Hell, with anyone else I wouldn’t have been. If Ruin or Gent had gone to dance with her I would have been fine. But not Young, not after how I had seen him look at her.
Cali wanted to be friends with everyone, my club brothers included and that was fine as long as they realised that she was totally and forever out of the question.
“Yeah, not going to happen,” I muttered.
“Young do something?” Sometimes Ruin was perceptive as hell. He rarely missed a beat but he must have been preoccupied as hell if he had missed the cow eyes Young Blood had been giving Cali all night.
I shrugged. “Not yet.” I didn’t take my eyes off of Cali. She was laughing, happy and carefree. And I wanted to keep her that way. “But the way he looks at her. Like she’s a meal and he’s fucking starving.” I shook my head.
“You think he has feelings for her?”
“I don’t know but he wants to fuck her. I’m pretty sure he followed us into the bathroom and jacked off to the sound of us….”
“That’s a little twisted. He should have at least asked to watch.”
I knew Ruin was joking and I forced myself to crack a smile.
“He can go and beat off by himself, he doesn’t get to watch shit.” I let my eyes flick towards Ruin. “Cali would probably let you and Avery though,” I added truthfully.
“Is that right? You two been talking about it huh?”
“She mentioned she would have gone after Avery if she liked girls more than boys.”
We both fell into silence as we watched our women move.
“They do look good together.” He finally said and I had to agree. They did look good together. “Like really fucking good. How would you feel…” he trailed off.
“How would I feel about watching her? Honestly, I don’t know. How about you?”
“If I had to watch Avery get down and dirty with someone else? I would fucking hate it and be turned on all at the same time. But who am I kidding? No one touches Avery but me. I wouldn’t be able to stand it… you know what I mean?”
“I know what you mean.”
A movement on the dance floor made my head snap back in that direction.
For a split second, I watched as Young Blood ground himself against Cali’s ass and then I was out of my seat. A strangled cry tearing from my lips as I rushed forward.
I didn’t give anyone time to prepare for my attack. Spinning Young Blood around my His cut I rammed my fist into his face. Once, twice. The whole time keeping my grip on him so he couldn’t get away.
His face grew slippy with blood as his nose exploded. And still, I didn’t stop.
“You. Keep. Your. Hands. Off. Her. Asshole.” Something crunched under my knuckles. A horrible sickening sound as I punctuated every word with another blow. “You don’t touch the woman I’m going to marry.”
Faintly I heard Cali suck in a breath. My fist froze in midair as I turned my head to face her. Still clutching Young Blood with the other
“The woman you are going to marry?”
“Yeah.” My fingers loosened. Letting the smaller man sag backwards. “Yeah Cali, the woman I want to marry. If you will have me?” Slowly I sank to my knees in front of her.
This wasn’t how I had planned it but it would have to do. Young Blood had forced my hand.
“Truth.” She sounded breathless, her voice a little squeaky as she clutched at her throat. Silence had fallen over the bar but I only had eyes for her.
