But it did mean we were not where we were meant to be. Like now, we had meant to be at Cooks to meet everyone over two hours ago.

We weren’t just late, we were really late. Not that I could bring myself to regret that. Having Truths dark head pressed between my thighs was one of my favourite past times. Only narrowly beaten by the feel of his cock pushing into me.

So yeah, I couldn’t bring myself to regret that we were late… again.

“About bloody time.” Avery was there the moment we pushed our way into the dark confines of the bar. I stumbled backwards as she hugged me tightly.

We had become good friends since I had gotten back to town a few months ago. The terrible threesome that’s what they called us.

Me, Avery and Gemma did seem to get into unusual amounts of trouble when we got together so there was no arguing the men’s pet name for us.

And it felt good to have such good friends here. It made me feel more at home, made me feel a little less lonely. I had left my entire life to move here to be with Truth. A great job, a loving of somewhat overbearing family, great friends.

It was my old friends I missed the most.

“Sorry, we’re late… I …” is started to give her some excuse when Truth pinched my ass hard. His eyes glinting as he winked. “Yeah she’s sorry she’s late, she was busy getting licked out.”

Avery laughed hard. To look at her, you would have never of guessed that she had grown up in the club. She was sweet looking, almost prim and proper. God, she looked like a soccer mum. And yet she swore like a sailor, rode bikes like a man and if Ruins boastful brags were anything to go by, fucked like a professional.

All in all, Avery was an awesome woman.

“Drinks ladies?”

I pulled Truths head down to mine. Capturing his lips with mine. “Please.”

He didn’t waste any time, his hand slid down my naked back, right down to the drooping material that barely covered my ass. “Anything for you baby.”

“After what you just did, I should be the one saying that to you,” I whispered back. “It was amazing.” Maybe I said it too loud because Avery turned back to the table she had left with a shake of her head.

“Oh, sweetheart you can return the favour anytime you want.”

I planned to return the favour and soon but not yet. It was obvious that Avery had something she was dying to tell me. She kept raising her eyebrows in my direction pointedly.

“Go.” Truth slapped my ass hard. As usual, he didn’t miss a beat. “I’ll get you girls, those drinks before Avery explodes.” He chuckled.

“Don’t forget….”

“No alcohol, I remember Cali. Don’t worry.”

“What is it?” Easily I slid on to the chair next to Avery, letting my eyes wander around the already packed bar. Several people said hello, raising their hands in greeting.

It was strange to me, all the misconceptions I had about bikers before I came here and met the men and women that made up the Black Aces.

My eyes fell on Wicked, Truths big brother. They were so alike and yet so different at the same time. Wicked was huge, wider and taller than his little brother. A great hulk of a man. But good looking with it. There was a scary side to Wicked, but a soft side as well. Especially when it came to the people he cared about. I didn’t know what he thought of me, but at the end of the day, his opinion of me didn’t really matter. Whether he liked me or not didn’t matter. As long as I made his brother happy he would keep his opinion to himself.

“Hey Wicked,” I called out, expecting him to turn towards me. His eyes didn’t even flicker. Wicked looked preoccupied. And pissed. His face was lined with anger, his body almost shook with rage.

“What’s up with him?” I turned back to Avery. And she gave me a knowing smile. “That’s what I wanted to talk to you about. He’s been like it all evening.”

I followed her gaze, trying to figure out who the hell had Wicked all bent out of shape. Someone had obviously pissed him off. But who?

“He can’t keep his eyes off of her….” she whispered and I frowned. He couldn’t take his eyes off of who? The only person I could see was Chelsea. Ruins kid sister, daughter of the club president.

It hit me then. My mouth fell open as I sucked in a breath. I dragged my eyes away. “No fucking way.”

Eagerly Avery nodded. “Yes way, at least I think so.” Her eyes flicked back to the hulking biker at the bar. “I mean look at him. He can’t take his eyes from her.”
