Chapter Two
Banger grabbed hishand and shook it gladly.“Damn Boxer, it’s good to be home.”
Boxer just shook his head.He looked at Finn and Chewy, then nodded.“The brothers catch you up?”
Banger nodded back.“As much as they knew.Told me Jeremy disappeared almost nine years ago and Robbie disappeared shortly after.”
Boxer nodded.“Yeah, we searched high and low for Robbie but we couldn’t find him.We heard the Sinners dragged the whiny little bitch away.They took him all the way to Troy and we still don’t know what happened to him.”Boxer paused then said, “Finn also heard something interesting.”
Banger turned his head and stared at Finn.“What did you hear?”he demanded.
Finn reached up to the back of his head and gripped his neck.“Well, I got as close as I could and I heard loud voices.The damn fool was claiming that this Leon guy was his father.That he raped his mother.”Shaking his head he scoffed.“Hell, I had no clue Robbie even knew those kinds of men.”
Banger stared at him.‘What kind of men?”Then he paused.“You mean Leon and Calderone Vincinti?Holy shit what the hell was a loser like Robbie doing with them?”
Finn snorted.“He wasn’t with them at all really.They claimed Leon wasn’t his father, that his mother lied to him.He said Robbie wasn’t even her child.Seems she snatched the kid from someone in Chicago when he was a baby.”
“Could that be true?”Boxer looked perplexed.
Finn nodded.“Vincinti seemed to think so.Robbie screamed and ranted that it couldn’t be true, then this Leon guy told him that his mother gave birth to a child alright but that child was a girl baby.That her real child died shortly after she was born because Janelle ignored feeding her.Jannelle had Robbie snatched off the street at six months old to sell him in her kiddy ring.But since she raised him, she kept him to help her with her kiddy ring.”
Chewy had been looking at his phone for a moment then he looked up at them and said, “Wait, don’t you guys remember that story that hit the headlines five years ago?The one that said Janelle Walden was the leader in a kiddy ring.But she ran it under the name of Eleanore Pierce.That would have been Robbie’s mother.”
Banger was stunned.“Are you shitting me?”
Chewy shook his head.He held out the phone in his hand and showed him the links to the FBI investigation.“Then she never made it to prison.She just disappeared.”
“Nah, I bet Vincinti did her in,” Banger said.“He runs Boston and he doesn't like kids to be hurt in any way.Damn, so we can’t go to her to find Robbie.”
“I got news about that, Banger.”Finn stared at him.“And you aren’t gonna like it.”
Banger stared at him.“You need to be telling me then.”
“I kept an eye on Robbie like you asked me or at least I tried.So apparently, this pukehead had been making his mark by slicing up women.Stabbing them 23 times then carving the word whore in their backs while watching them bleed out.A god damn serial killer of all things.”He looked up at Banger.“That was how he framed you, Virgil.”Finn paused as he stared into space.
Banger waited then he called to him, “You okay, Finn?”
He slowly shook his head.“I found a guy last week, Banger.I waited till you got out to show you this.”He took his phone out.“Finally, someone knew something about Robbie’s whereabouts.You told me to find Robbie.I looked, asked, and followed every rumor.I found nothing on him for the last five years.Then I finally found a guy who knew him.”
“A guy?”Banger asked.
Nodding, Finn got his phone out.“I rode to New York and paid the man fifty bucks to tell me what he saw.He’s a street guy there that I found online but I think his story is legit.”He tapped his phone screen.
They all heard a man’s voice.
“I-I never saw something like that,” the voce came from the phone.“It was right out of a horror film, man.Four men tied him to a huge fucking tree.He couldn’t get free, then they stripped him to his own skin with a goddamn knife.I knew it was Robbie as he’d been hiding out at my place.Paid me pretty good for it too.Then the main man there told him he was going to die the same way he wanted this Kacey to die.He began cutting Robbie.He tore his chest open and Robbie was bleeding badly, then another man took the knife and cut his thigh open, he was a big man too.His patch said Iceman...”The man’s voice shook badly as he continued, “T-then he handed the blade to Leon Vincinti himself.I know him cause he and his son come here to Troy a lot.After Leon sliced him, Calderone took the knife from him and really dug into his calf.Damn, by this time Robbie couldn’t even scream.Then the guys began backing away.I wondered what they were gonna do to him next.Like maybe if they left, I could get him loose?Robbie paid well and I needed the money.Then I saw the wolves come closer.They were drawn there by the scent of Robbie’s blood.It was gruesome watching them tear him apart.”
The men listened to the bloody tale in silence.
There was a pause then the shaky voice went on, “I had to fight not to puke.I sure as hell didn’t want to get spotted by them or I might be put up on the next tree, ya know?Then the men simply walked away.They paused for a couple of minutes to listen to the wolves feasting, but they didn’t even look back.Those guys were true bastards that day.I mean...no wonder everyone fears the Vincintis.Like I always thought the mob just tried to look scary.But fuck, they ARE scary.Man, you don’t cross those guys.I don’t know what happened but what they did to Robbie was really bad.Supposedly, he dragged a woman from their MC clubhouse and took her to the woods.He tied her to a tree and cut her up real bad.I’m guessing that woman was this Kazzy girl.T-that’s all I got man.But if you give this to the cops I will just plead that I was drunk and made this shit up.If the mob knows that I know?I will be dead.”
Finn tapped the screen and put his phone away.“So, these are the kind of men we need to avoid.”
Boxer nodded.“Seems The Sinners MC work with Leon Vincinti.”
“Yeah.I’d really like to hear the real story behind that partnership,” Chewy said.
Banger finally raised his head and snarled.“So, I guess we’ll never get back what Robbie stole from us, from me.That pisses me off to no end.”
