“If you’re going to half-ass every exercise, we should stop here.” Ajin moved away to stop the walking machine.
“Damn, sorry. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in days.” Nylune was killing him. The omega insisted on spending his fourth heat alone. For days Adew has had to listen to Nylune suffer through his heat until he fell asleep from exhaustion. His cries, his moans, his scent, had pulled on him turning his body hot and his cock hard. He’d never been that horny or longed for an omega the way he had for the past few nights.
“Is the omega giving you problems?”
“No. Its…”
“What? He is, isn’t he? I thought you wouldn’t care. You didn’t want to help him. What’s going on with you?”
Fuck, if I know. Adew got off the machine and took off the loose clothes.
“I hope you didn’t drift here.”
“No. I ordered a shuttle.”
“Good. Go home and rest. I’ll schedule your next appointment for the day after tomorrow. Make sure you get some rest and be good to that omega.”
“What do you think I’m trying to do,” Adew grumbled under his breath, but Ajin heard him anyway and had the audacity to laugh. He was a fucking joke to him. Adew rolled his eyes and finished strapping himself into the WAB.
“Here.” Ajin handed him his clothes.
“Thanks.”
“Be there when he needs you, that’s all you can do. You know that, right?”
Adew nodded. He couldn’t force Nylune to share all his heats with him. But fuck…he was killing him. He wasn’t looking forward to tonight. He walked out of Ajin’s torture chamber and headed for the shuttle waiting for him outside the health centre.
“Wake me up when we get there,” he told the shuttle operator as he settled into the backseat. He closed his eyes but opened them a few seconds later when the operator shook him awake.
“We’re here,” he said.
Fuck, that was quick.
“Thanks,” he mumbled, and dragged his ass off the shuttle. He stopped in his tracks, his body turning cold. “Urim? What are you doing here?”
“I came to see you.”
Shit.
“How did you find me?”
“I followed you from the health centre.” Urim walked to him. “I didn’t want to. But you left me no choice. Adew…” He reached for him.
“No. Stop. Please.” Urim flinched and dropped his hand. Adew hated seeing the tears in his eyes. “Don’t make this harder than it already is. I can’t be your alpha.”
“Do you have another omega, is that it?”
“No.”
Urim smiled. And Adew wished he’d said yes. But Nylune wasn’t his. The experiment could end at any time. And it didn’t feel right getting Nylune involved in his mess. Urim was his problem.
“Don’t smile. It’s nothing to be happy about.”
Urim’s smile widened. “I was worried there might be someone else. Now I don’t have to. Whatever you’re going through will pass and you’ll come back to me. I don’t mind waiting. I’ve been waiting for a long time. I’m not going to give up now.”
“Urim…”
“No. There’s nothing you can say that will change my mind. Take care Adew. I’ll be waiting,” he turned and walked to the waiting shuttle.
