“Why would I find someone else when I have you? I told you. I want the same things you do. I want you. No one else. I haven’t wanted anyone until I met you.”

“You’ve never been with an omega? Ever?”

Hym blushed.

“I’ve been with omegas before. But I haven’t been with anyone since they found me five years ago. I only responded to you. Stop trying to give me off to someone else. It won’t work anyway.” Hym’s eyes crawled down his chest to stop at the hem of his sleeping shirt. It had hiked up to his top thigh, bunching around his semi-hard cock.

Fuck.

Jamue could feel the heat in his eyes.

“Don’t worry. You and I will get there. I’ll get to touch you one day. I’m patient enough to wait for that moment. It’s going to be amazing.” Hym said. “I’m happy you’re with me. I don’t want anything more.”

“I’m happy too,” Jamue said shyly.

He never thought he'd belong to an alpha. Not like this.

Chapter 20

Jamue

Jamue moaned in relief as he pealed the concealing strip off his face.

“Sorry,” Mac grimaced from the door where he stood guard to keep other omegas from entering the washroom. “Sirhe left the strips with me days ago, but I couldn’t slip away. Your father had goons watching our building. I couldn’t risk him finding out where you live. Are you sure you should be here? They're probably out there."

Jamue hadn't seen them in the crowd earlier, but he knew they were there. His father would never miss the Alpha King's inauguration.

“I can’t hide forever. And I’m sorry, my father can be tenacious,” he said, turning away from the mirror. “I shouldn’t have put you through this.”

“I told you to stay away,” Mac said. “And it seems it did you a lot of good. You’re glowing. Is there something going on between you and your alpha that I should know about?”

Jamue blushed. It’s been three days since Hym caught him in his bed, rolling around like a madman.

And he'd spent each one in Hym’s bed, touching... well he did most of the touching and kissing.

"Nothing is going on. He’s just a good alpha that's all.”

Jamue washed his face and smoothed another strip over his mark, even though he wished he could go without and give his skin a chance to breathe. But he couldn’t go out there with his birthmark all out. His father would kill him.

Jamue winced, sad that he followed his father’s instructions even though he wasn’t under his control anymore.

Some habits were hard to kill.

He made sure he was presentable and then turned to Mac.

“I feel guilty for being away for so long. Is everything going well with our business?”

“Everything is fine. Our client list is steadily growing. In case you haven’t noticed, we got a big order for the inauguration. It’s amazing, right?” Mac asked excitedly, as if being bonded to the Alpha King wasn’t exciting enough.

"Right,” Jamue said. “How is Deltta? Is he excited about the inauguration?”

Mac blushed. “He is. I’ve never seen him this happy.”

Jamue's heart squeezed in jealousy. He longed for what Mac had.

Hym was his alpha, but he wasn’t his real alpha... not the way he wanted him to be.

He wanted...he wanted him to be his bond alpha.
