This is me, he thought, wiping away the tear that streaked down his cheek. I'm never hiding again.

Never.

He wiped his face, lovingly, showing himself the attention, he’d never shown himself before.

There was a knock at the door.

Jamue gave himself one last look and walked to open it.

“Mac? What are you doing here?” He stepped aside to let his friend in.

“I brought you the information you asked for.”

Jamue stared at him, surprised. “That was fast. You didn’t have any problems with Deltta?”

“Some. Nothing a little convincing wouldn’t fix.” He smiled slyly. He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to him.

Jamue took it. It was Holi’s profile. The one he used to apply for the job.

Jamue scanned through it.

“He listed his family home address. He must still live there."

“It's possible or maybe he never updated his profile. You updated yours recently, remember?”

Yes, he did.

Damn. He might not live there.

“I should go and check, just in case,” Jamue said.

“I’ll go with you,” Mac said.

“Aren’t you going to work?”

“I’ll go later. I have to give our new spirits time to brew,” Mac said, following him out of the room. “Nava has everything under control.”

Jamue nodded.

Nava was capable and intelligent.

“I need to come back to work too. I'm done hiding," Jamue said.

Besides, he was on a mission to find out what happened five years ago. He couldn't do that sitting at home.

Mac's eyes lingered on his face. “I can see that. Shall we? Yarr is waiting outside.”

Jamue hid a smile.

He knew Deltta wouldn’t allow his omega to run around without his most trusted servant.

Yarr barely glanced at him as they got into the pod.

They drifted onto the airway, heading to Holi’s house. Jamue prayed they found him there.

They arrived at Holi’s house an hour later.

“I don’t think he lives here,” Mac commented beside him, staring at the front door.
