Mac loaded the serving bots.

“If he buys all five of the spirits, we’ll be able to make back some of the credit we used to buy the ingredients.” Jamue helped him load the last of the samples. “I found the perfect cylinders to supply the spirits in. They look classy and lavish. But they’re expensive."

“Don’t worry. Faria will buy more than you think. He knows how much his customers love my spirits. This is business for him. He doesn’t play when it comes to business.”

“Okay, we’ll buy the cylinders as soon as we return from the capital,” Jamue smiled. “This is exciting and scary at the same time.”

“I know.” He poured Deltta's spirit into the tiny glasses. Even though Faria’s customers sampled Sweet Core before, he wanted them to have it again. The spirit was special to him, especially now that Deltta claimed it as his own.

Mac’s mind turned to that moment…Deltta’s voice, all possessives and dark echoed in his mind. He would have given him anything he asked. Mac ran the conversation over in his mind, changing the words slightly – instead of claiming the spirit was his, it sounded like Deltta claimed he was his.

“You belong to me. Every single part of you is mine. Do you want me to prove it?”

“I’m not…”

“Listen, baby. Don’t give away what’s mine, because I don’t like it.”

Mac cleared his throat, feeling a little warm. He forced himself to focus on what he was doing.

“This one is full,” Jamue said, turning the serving bot on. It wheeled out carrying the samples. “Did you come up with the names? It would be nice to introduce each sample.”

“Yes,” Mac looked around in his packsack. He threw the paper in there. “I have them here.”

“Give it to me,” Jamue said.

Mac clutched the paper close. “What are you planning to do?”

“You make the spirits, and I make things pretty, remember?”

He remembered.

Mac handed him the paper. Jamue smoothed his hands over his long shirt. He looked amazing in his all-white attire.

His friend was all grown up.

“Now, which bot has which sample…”

“The one you sent out has Smoky Blue, this has Innocent kiss, that one has Mellow, and of course, this one has Sweet Core,” Mac pointed to the last bot.

Nodding, Jamue memorised the names and walked out of the room with the serving bots. Mac took his time cleaning the table, making sure everything was where it should be. Done, he made his way to the door to watch Jamue introduce their first line of spirits.

The omega stood in the middle of the room, serving bots behind him. Anticipation shone brightly in the eyes of the customers.

They’ve come to taste my creations, Mac thought with pride. He never imagined he would do something like this. Well, he never imagined he would do many things. Being with an alpha was at the top of that list. Mac blushed as he thought of Deltta. He’d been thinking about the alpha a lot lately. Mostly, he thought about how to tell him he claimed him by accident. No matter how hard he tried, Mac couldn’t find the words.

Why was it so hard? Maybe telling him over the connector would be better.

Maybe, Mac thought.

“The spirits you’re about to sample were made with love. I hope you enjoy them as much as their creator, Mac, enjoyed making them,” Jamue turned to the first bot. Picking up one glass, he brought the bot to life. It wheeled to the nearest table. “The first sample is called Smoky Blue. It sounds thrilling and dark. This is my first-time sampling it. Mac kept his recipes a secret.” Jamue glanced at him and winked. He was confident and sure of himself; Mac was happy to see his growth. “I think everyone has a sample. Shall we?”

The room went silent as everyone took their time savoring the spirit. Jamue licked his lips. Tilting the glass over his mouth, he went for the droplets left inside. “That was amazing, right?” Jamue asked. The entire room cheered. Faria got to his feet and addressed his customers.

“All the spirits we’re sampling tonight will be available soon. I’m already negotiating with our creator. So don’t worry, you’ll have more soon,” he said.

Jamue grinned at him. They’ve just made their first sale.

“I told you,” Mac mouthed to him, before walking back into the war room. Jamue had everything under control. The customers loved their first sample. There was no way they wouldn’t love all of them. Mac left Jamue to entice them into wanting more.
