I smiled right before his lips touched mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled back, grabbing my legs and hoisting me up as he stood. I giggled against his mouth.

“You want to shower together?” he asked.

I nodded. “Yes, please.”

“Come on.” He hoisted me a little higher then carried me to the bathroom.

I set the temperature for the water while Drix collected our clothes then we showered together and collapsed into bed. I slid closer to him and buried my face into his side. He threw an arm around me and I quickly drifted into sleep.

When I woke up, I was in bed alone. I stretched and groaned at how good it felt. I rubbed my eyes and yawned before sitting up. I glanced at my phone and saw it was already after eleven. I wasn’t shocked by that considering we hadn’t gotten into bed until nearly four.

I was thankful I had my notifications off for Skroll because as soon as I opened it I was flooded. I glanced at a few notifications before deciding that was a bad idea. I saw Radiant Reverie’s page had shared content from the concert, so I liked and shared that. Then I exited and went through my messages.

Allison had texted, telling me to let her know when I felt better and when I’d be back at rehearsal. Chandler had sent me the statement she mentioned, so I pasted into a note, screenshotit, and shared it without even reading. I trusted her judgement. I had a message from Charm just checking on me and surprisingly a message from Drix. I tapped it and a smile took over my face at the sight of the picture of us he’d sent me. I saved it to my phone, made it his contact picture, and posted it to my Skroll. I hesitated on tagging him in it but decided to just go all the way before locking my phone, tossing it on the bedside table, and climbing up.

I went through my morning routine then shuffled to the kitchen where I found Drix shirtless and standing in front of my stove. He was bobbing his head and rapping to a beat coming from his phone.

“Hi.” I announced my presence and Drix looked back at me.

“Hey.” He snatched his phone, muted what was playing, and turned back to the stove to flip whatever was in the skillet. “You got enough sleep?”

“Yep.” I nodded. “I feel great.”

I yawned again as I closed the space between us. I opened my arms to him and he leaned down to wrap his arms around me. I hummed in contentment.

“I can’t believe you didn’t fuck me last night,” I mumbled.

His chest shook with his laugh. “You’d just gotten out the hospital.”

“Well, it’s been hours now.” I looked up at him and he leaned down to kiss me, making my arms tighten around his neck. He grinned against my mouth.

“You need breakfast.” He smacked my ass then gripped it.

I cut my eyes at him. “You serious right now, Berlin?” I let my arms drop.

“Yep. I’m not fucking you at least until tomorrow, Twin, but trust me, you ain’t gon’ die.”

“I might.” I blinked up at him. “Then how are you going to feel?”

“Don’t even play like that.” His smile fell from his face and I rolled my eyes but reneged, because after my short hospital stay I didn’t even really want to throw out jokes about my health.

“Fine.” I sighed and crossed my arms. “What are you making anyway?”

“Breakfast egg rolls.”

“Breakfast egg rolls?” I repeated.

“Yep. Potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheese, onion, and bell pepper rolled in an egg roll wrapper and fried.”

My eyebrows knitted together.

“Why does that actually sound good.”

“Because it is.” He tapped my ass one last time then let me go to grab a plate for three of the breakfast egg rolls he’d already made. He offered it to me. “What do you want to drink?”

“I can get my own orange juice, I promise.” I winked at him and he nodded before I headed to the fridge. “Did you want something to drink now too?”

“Water would be cool.”
