Drix’s phone started ringing. He grabbed it and climbed to his feet.

“What’s up?”

“Are you with him right now?” Allison asked.

“Yeah. I’m with him.” I watched Drix as he moved around his room, shirtless in boxers.

“We need to have a meeting now. Right fucking now,” she snapped.

“I know. You’re right. I just… I’ll be there,” I said quickly. “Where do you want me to meet you?”

“My office, Myome. Be there within the hour. I’ll have Charm and Retta here and hopefully I can get Drix’s team. We can all sit down and see about getting this fucking marriage taken care of.”

“Okay.” I nodded even though she couldn’t see me. “Okay. I’ll be there.”

“Good. We’ll talk then.” She hung up without waiting for a response and I fell backward into the pillow.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I couldn’t believe I’d let something like this happen. I’d gambled my entire fucking future for a party and a night of fun. If the marriage scandal didn’t do me in, there was still a chance the fight I’d had outside of the club would.

“Ay. You good?” Drix’s voice had me opening my eyes again.

“What if we’re actually married?” I peeked at him.

“If we’re married, we’ll deal with that shit, but we can’t do it from in here. So come on. My people want to have a meeting.”

“Yeah. Well, so do mine.”

“Bet.” Drix tapped his phone then walked it toward me. “Put your manager or publicist’s or whatever’s phone number in so we can see about just having a group meeting.”

“Okay.”

I typed Allison’s number into Drix’s phone then handed it back to him.

“You wearing that?” he asked.

I looked down and realized I was in a shirt I didn’t recognize. That meant it was Drix’s. The alternative choice was the outfit I’d worn the night before.

“Yeah, if that’s okay.”

“If it wasn’t I wouldn’t have asked,” he deadpanned.

“You don’t have to be a smartass, Drix.”

His eyebrow lifted.

“You can take a shower in here and I’ll take the downstairs bathroom.”

“Okay.” I looked up at Drix. “Do you have shorts I may be able to fit?”

“Yeah. I know I’ve got some in the guest room.”

“And socks?”

“Damn, Myome. Anything else?”

I blinked up at him and smirked. “Nope.”

Drix checked his phone before leaving the room and I did my best not to stare at how well defined his muscles were and the way his morning wood was prevalent and just there for the viewing. It looked big but I tried not to think about that.
