“I’d do it for free,” I admitted. “And if I hack it, I'm definitely searching for my name in her text messages.”
“Well if you’re going to look through her shit too, I’m not against reading about myself,” he confessed.
“Let me make a note to get into that when I get back to my computer.”
I grabbed my phone to make a reminder. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought about hacking into Jiselle’s phones. I mean, I had, but ultimately decided I didn’t want to invade her privacy… but if Stone planned to do it anyway, what would be the harm in one more pair of eyes?
We both turned toward Stone’s phone when it started ringing and my eyebrows knitted when I saw it was Jiselle.
“Does she call you often?”
“Hell nah.” Stone answered almost immediately. “What’s wrong, Selle?” He paused for a beat. “I’m on my way right now. Just send me your location.” He hung up and looked at me. “Jiselle is on the side of the road and wants me to get her.”
“I’m coming,” I stated. Stone’s eyebrows knitted and I held his gaze. “We just agreed to stalk this woman together. I think we can handle fixing her car together.”
“You don’t look like the type who’s good with their hands,” he said.
“I’m good at a lot of things I don’t look good at but you already know that.” I grinned at him.
Stone chuckled, shook his head, and climbed up.
“Man, come on. And don’t leave shit in here either.”
“This isn’t my first time breaking in, Stone. I’m not an amateur."
“Yeah, alright, nigga. Come on.”
He yanked the door open and gestured for me to precede him. I took one slow look to make sure nothing was out of place then left.

I smiled and waved when I saw Stone’s truck pulling up. My car was a few yards behind me and I had no desire to get any closer. Stone hopped out and an even bigger smile crossed my face when I saw Kiano hop out of the passenger seat.
“Hey, baby.” Stone gripped my waist as soon as he was close enough and leaned down.
I automatically tilted my head back for a kiss.
“Where are y’all coming from?” I asked.
“Meeting up to talk about you to be honest,” he said simply. “You wanted us to exchange numbers and play nice, right?”
“Real nice.” I wagged my eyebrows and he chuckled but let me go.
“Hi, Kiano.” I walked over and hugged him.
“Hey.” He blinked at me and I could have sworn he wanted to kiss me too so I kissed him instead of waiting.
“What’s wrong with your car?” Stone asked.
“I don’t know. It just… started smoking.”
“It just started smoking?” Stone repeated.
“Yep.”
“What kind of smoke?”
“Uhmm…” I paused while I tried to think about what he meant.
