Ihave no words. Not that they come easily to me anyway, but as I hold Sunday close to me, my arms circling her, my muscles flex and I lower my head, inhaling her scent as if I need confirmation she is really here.

“Razor.”

She sobs in my arms as we speed off to the Angel’s mansion.

“I’ve missed you so much.”

Her sobs against my chest are undeserved because of the way I treated her.

“I’m sorry, darlin’.”

My apology is long overdue, and I back it up with a soft, “I lied to you.”

She pulls away, anxiety lining her face. Reaching out, I stroke her pretty face and whisper, “I lied to you back home. I want more. I should never have let you leave.”

She makes to speak, the tears almost spilling onto her cheeks, and I press my finger against her lips and say huskily, “Hear me out.”

She nods, her anxious expression, killing me inside.

“It destroyed me when you left. I couldn’t handle it. There was so much I should have done and said to get you to stay, and Itook the coward’s way out. I believed I was doing what was right—for you.”

I exhale deeply. “I am right for you, and you are right for me. I’m the asshole who thought otherwise, and I will never forgive myself for putting you through this when you should have been safe with me all this time.”

She says nothing, merely leaning forward and pressing her soft lips against mine, a homecoming of the most pleasurable kind and as I wrap my hand around the back of her head and pull her in deeper, words can wait, this kiss will do all the talking for me.

It’s as if the past months never happened, and we kiss as if we did it yesterday. Her familiar touch, scent, and body against mine. It’s all I’ve ever wanted—will ever want in the future.

All I can think about now is her. She fills my mind; then again, she always did. I can’t believe she’s with me now, in my arms and happy to be here. At least it seems that way. She may still be angry with me, and I wouldn’t blame her.

When she pulls away, her expression dispels that theory as she whispers, “Thank you for coming for me, honey. It appears that I can’t operate without you.”

“You got that right.”

I raise my eyes, and a flicker of rage tightens my smile, and I growl, “My one regret is that I didn’t dispose of that fucker myself.”

“What will happen to him?”

Her eyes are wide, and I grin. “The plan was to save you and get you away from the scene to safety and then leave that creep to figure out what just happened. He won’t know who took you and will be angry as hell. I’m guessing he’ll pull out all the stops to discover what happened and where you are.”

“But my father.”

Fear clouds her eyes, and I reassure her.

“Is under the protection of an organization he would be a fool to mess with.”

“Is he safe?”

“Of course. In fact, we are heading to their clubhouse now. Ryder and Snake are being assisted by The Wild Angels MC. I understand they intend on staging an intervention when Santiago leaves for home.”

“He deserves it.”

She shivers, her lip curled in disgust.

“He murdered a woman in front of my eyes before we left for the gala. He tortured her, made her his slave, and intended for me to replace her when we returned home. The word monster is too good for him. I hope he suffers a horrific death.”

I blow out a deep breath. “Fuck.”

I hate that I let her down. By letting her leave without declaring my feelings for her, and this can’t wait another moment.
