“What about you?” he asked, glancing down before brushing a tender kiss over my lips.
Butterflies swarmed my stomach, wild and restless. I bit my bottom lip.
“The sunset on the beach,” I said softly.
“Oh yeah?” Logan’s chuckle was low, knowing.
I nodded. “It was beautiful. And special.” My fingers skimmed over his knee, tugging gently at the hem of his loose shorts. “Oh, and maybe finding out about your tattoo.”
I pulled the fabric of his shorts up just enough to trace the ink with my fingertip, letting the texture and warmth of his skin pull me right back to the moment I’d first seen it.
“I still can’t believe you’ve had this all these years.”
“I needed to take you everywhere I went, Ace. This was the best way I knew how.”
The words—quiet, honest—hit something deep inside me. God, I was so damn lucky.
Shifting, I scooted back enough to turn onto my belly, bending my knees so my feet pressed against the passenger door.
“What are you doing?” Logan asked, a mix of suspicion and heat threading his voice.
I didn’t answer. I lifted his shorts higher until his tattoo was eye level, then leaned in and pressed a slow, lingering kiss to the ink.
“Ellie…” His voice dropped, husky and edged with warning.
Another kiss. Then another. And another.
My hand slid down the curve of his thigh, past his knee, back up again. A whimper slipped from him, his grip tightening slightly on the steering wheel as his gaze darted down to me before snapping back to the road.
“I also liked the kiss in the ocean,” I murmured.
“Me too,” he said, voice tight.
“And sharing a bed.”
“Me too,” he repeated, softer this time.
I glanced up, catching the way his eyes flicked back to me before I bit my lip and smiled.
“Can I try something?”
Without waiting for an answer, my hand drifted between his legs, feeling the hard, insistent proof of what I was doing to him.
His breath caught. “What is it?”
“I’ve never given head while someone was driving before.”
“Oh, Ellie, I—” His words broke off as he swallowed hard, shifting in his seat, the bulge beneath my touch growing even more.
I didn’t know what was coming over me, only that I felt reckless in the best possible way—brazen, hungry to see him lose control. The highway was open, cars passing, but the risk only made the desire sharper.
It wasn’t just comfort with Logan anymore. It was fire.
It was this crackling electricity that surged whenever he was near, demanding to be fed.
I wanted to kiss him.
Touch him.
