I’d never experienced anything like it.
Lochlan twitched against me as I continued to suck. His eyelids were fluttering, his dick throbbing inside me.
It was almost painful to let him go, but I knew I needed to. Even a supe had their limits to how much blood they could lose at once.
Retracting my fangs, I lapped my tongue over the puncture wounds. Lochlan would heal on his own, but my saliva sped the process along.
I leaned back to check. My heart pinched slightly at the unmarred skin, no evidence of me being there at all.
“All fixed,” I said, kissing the place once more before flopping back on the pillow.
“Wish it wasn’t,” Lochlan whispered, a hand coming up to rub at his neck hazily. “I kind of like the idea of wearing your marks.”
My stomach fluttered. “Me too.”
When we were cleaned up, Lochlan hovered beside the bed, his lip between his teeth. “Do you want me to go?”
“Do you want to go?”
He shook his head slowly. “No, bràmair. I don’t.”
I shoved the duvet back, nodding at the space next to me. “Better get in then. I warn you though, I like to fidget.”
He got in with a chuckle, pulling me into his arms and kissing my head. “I think I’d be surprised if you didn’t.”
I drifted off with my face buried in his neck and a smile on my face.
CHAPTER 6
Lochlan
Iwoke up the next morning with Ash’s face snuggled against my neck, his adorable little snores filling the room.
The next morning, I woke up the same way.
And the next.
And many more after that.
A human wouldn’t understand the speed at which we were moving, but both Ash and I had lived long enough to know what we wanted.
Right now, that thing was spending as much time together as possible. It was hard enough having to part for our day jobs. Like a lot of supes, neither of us reallyneededto work. Money was something that simply accumulated when you lived endless lifetimes. I had enough in my bank to cover all my expenses for the next few decades.
If I didn’t work though, boredom would set in rapidly. Hence my position at the University. I lectured in Modern History. Students signed up for my classes in droves, citing my ‘fresh perspective’ as the reason.
Easy to have afresh perspectivewhen you’ve been alive for the events in question.
Meanwhile, Ash had a job as a nurse at the blood donation centre. Yes. He, a vampire, drew blood for a living.
“If you’re gonna have someone taking your blood, wouldn’t you rather it be someone who can precisely locate your veins on the first attempt? Someone who can compel you if you’re anxious or in pain so you don’t feel it?”
Honestly, his logic was flawless. Plus, he had a ready supply of blood on hand when he needed to feed.
Not that he needed that at the moment…not with how many times I asked him to bite me.
Begged, if I’m being honest. I couldn’t help it.
Everything about my feelings towards Ash were extreme. He was quickly becoming an addiction I didn’t think I’d ever want to break.
