I flash him a glare. “How dare you. I’m nothing of the sort.”
Thessaly’s lips twitch, affection twinkling in the dark pools of his eyes as he completes his task. “Darling... do you ever think about moving?”
The question catches me off guard. “Moving? Moving where?”
Thessaly shrugs. “I don’t know. I just suppose I’ve been feeling restless as of late..."

I look down. The vial is plain. Innocuous, if not a bit murky. I look up at him, brows pinched.
“What are these?”
He rolls his eyes. “Don’t worry, nothing lethal. Just something that will paralyze him and neutralize his powers for a bit should he try to have his way with you. Careful, though, all you need is a single drop.”
I cackle. “My darling, Thessaly, that’s entirely the point. Iwanthim to have his way with me.”
