Syvannah nods her head, but won’t look me in the eyes. Fuck. I’m such an idiot. “Syv, come here.” I sit up, dragging her with me. “Are you really ok?”
She straddles my lap, burying her face in my chest. “I’m fine.”
“Then look at me, please.”
She lifts her head. Her golden eyes are confused and embarrassed, but no traces of fear. I breathe a sigh of relief. “I’m sorry, Tiny.”
“Don’t you ever apologize for having triggers.” I kiss her slowly, tasting myself on her tongue.
“But…”
“No buts, Syvannah.” I lean her back, trying a different approach. I kiss my way down her throat to her bare breasts, breathing in her intoxicating scent. I lavish one nipple then the other with my tongue, wanting to head further south to the apex of her thighs, but Syvannah’s grip on my head stops me. So I keep rolling the tight buds with my tongue and teeth, causing her to shiver and moan, bringing her to the brink of an orgasm.
“Oh, God.” Syvannah moans as my erection slides between her wet folds. She rubs herself up and down on my aching shaft, soaking us both.
“No God here, Syv. Only Ethan.” Not the Bastard. Not the Road Captain. Just me. I swear my eyes cross when the tip slides into her opening. “Shit. Are you sure?”
Syvannah opens her eyes, resting her hands on my shoulders, and raises her body slightly. “I’m more than sure, Ethan.”
She sinks onto me in one fluid motion, making us both groan. My body ignites, and we moan into each other’s mouths.
“You feel like heaven,” I say, kissing her. Syvannah’s heat wraps around me, and I swear I've died and gone to paradise. “Fuck, baby girl. I need you to move.”
Syvannah lifts herself up and slides down. She does this over and over until I can’t tell where she starts and where I stop. My spine catches fire.
“You feel incredible. I don’t want this to stop, Ethan.” Syvannah writhes on top of me, squeezing my shaft.
“Me either, Baby girl. But if you don’t come, my head is going to explode.”
Syvannah gyrates her hips in an up-and-down and back-and-forth motion, making my eyes cross. “I’m close, Ethan.”
I kiss her hard, holding her hips, and thrust into her as she comes down again. Rhythm takes over until there’s nothing left but heat and breath.
“Yes!” Syvannah shouts as her inner walls tighten, then flutter around me. “I’m coming, Ethan.”
“Fuck. I’m going to come.” I groan.
The world tilts and disappears beneath us. I cup Syvannah’s face and kiss her fiercely as I climax inside her. She responds with equal intensity until we’re both forced to catch our breath.
“Wow.” She states against my lips with a grin.
“Wow is right. I think I went to heaven.” I respond, flopping back on the bed. Syvannah follows, and I hold onto her tight, not wanting to let her go.
We remain wrapped in each other’s arms as my heart is filled with a new, unfamiliar emotion. I don’t question it at the moment, but I probably will later.
The room is dim except for the lamp’s fading light. Syvannah’s head rests against my chest, her fingers tracing the scars there. I can feel her heartbeat through my ribs. Steady. Alive.
She whispers, “You ever think we’ll stop running from the past?”
“Not sure we’re meant to.”
“Then what are we doing?”
“Trying to build something that doesn’t burn.” Even if the fire’s already at the door.
Her lips curve against my skin. “You think we can?”
“Yeah,” I say, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “If we stop doing it alone.”
