“Plus, this place gave us the best proposal storyever.” I gazed around us. “Unicorns and twinkly lights and romantic rooftops are way better than anything your team could come up with.”

“Aprivatestory,” Cade added pointedly.

I snickered, unable to resist teasing him. “What? You don’t want Harrison hearing that you wore a unicorn onesie?”

“This is only for you,” he whispered, pulling me into another kiss.

When we parted, I let out the happiest of sighs. “That’s fair. But I’m still sharing the rest of the story—like the balcony and lights and Sunshine Cuddle Cats.”

“And the seven orgasms I’m about to give you on this roof?” he asked with a grin.

I snapped my mouth shut, eyes widening. “The what now?”

Cade rolled us over until he pressed me into the mattress, attacking my neck with kisses and play growling while I laughed in delight.

When I first got into the professional cuddling business, I never thought it would lead me into the arms of a grumpy work-obsessed billionaire. Or down a path of masterful deceit, incredibly convincing roleplay, and lies the size of a superyacht.

But as Cade kissed and licked his way down my body before keeping his promise to properly worship his veryrealfiancée—his words, not mine—I couldn’t stop a dopey smile from spreading across my face as my laughter rang out into the night’s sky. There was nowhere I’d rather be than in a cabana with this man.

And if I had the chance to do it all over again?

I’d accept his fake proposal in a heartbeat.

…But I was even more thrilled to be doing it for real.

Cade Westbrook’s Guide to Locking Down the Love of Your Life, Tip #1: Make her your wife on the “fancy-ass boat” you fell in love on.

Life after meeting Ellie was a lot more colorful.

Every day was an adventure. From dinners with my family to going on real dates—though we still ended up back at Kitty’s for her lukewarm coffee and what Ellie claimed was the world’s best mocha—to getting Sunshine Cuddle Cats up and running, we were an unstoppable team.

Whiskey didn’t have any trouble adjusting to the penthouse. When he wasn’t off getting pampered at that damn cat château, he ruled over the Nightingale with an iron paw. The staff loved him, Mac enabled every one of the furball’s wishes, and even Frank started carrying cat treats in his pocket. To my bewilderment, Ellie turned one of our guest rooms into a cat wonderland. There were plush pillows, dozens of plants, and an entire obstacle course of wall-mounted shelves and bridges, plus enough little yarn animals to take over the world.

Yet the hellion still slept in our bed every night—sometimes on top of my face.

I was happier than ever.

Months after the couples retreat from hell, I still hadn’t broken the news to my grandfather about starting my own firm. We were busy with a new acquisition, and he didn’t need this on his plate right now.

Plus, Ellie and I had a wedding to plan.

It was a whirlwind of venues, itineraries, guest lists, and more decisions than I’d ever needed to make before. Ellie quickly got overwhelmed, and she might’ve been one of the only brides on earth to be positively thrilled when her future mother-in-law stepped in to help.

Ellie spent a month in France with my mother and Madison—which was way too long, in my opinion. But they ate their weight in crepes and croissants, found ‘the perfect dress’, and explored the countryside.

I lasted two nights without Ellie in my bed before flying over to join them. The family château had internet and plenty of rooms; I could work from there without getting in their way.

I’ll never forget the look on Ellie’s face when she saw I’d packed our unicorn pajamas.

We got married on the main deck of Grandfather’s yacht.
