Luisa’s head was resting against the arm of the sofa, her legs draped across Amy who was also semi-reclined at the other end. They’d been chatting and flirting for a while. Luisa was currently teasing Amy about some of the British stereotypes.
“If I look in your suitcase right now, I’m going to find that you packed teabags, aren’t I?” Luisa laughed.
“Maybe…” Amy admitted reluctantly.
“Really?” Luisa faked incredulity. “I thought that was a myth!”
“You got me. I’ll get you drinking proper tea before I fly home. That’s a promise.”
Luisa smiled at that, and Amy grinned. Amy reached out to take Luisa's hand in hers.
“This is nice…” Amy continued. “Really nice. I’m… this," she gestured around them, "all seems to improbably."
"It does. Nice though."
They sat in easy silence for a few minutes, holding hands and enjoying simply being with each other.
“Oh, I nearly forgot to say. I’m going to be in Europe for a shoot in a few weeks.”
Amy tried to act cool but failed utterly. “That’s amazing… it’s your first time, right?”
“Yeah… and I was thinking I’d like to come and visit you for a change while I’m over. If you’d like that?”
“Definitely… you’re more than welcome.” Amy smiled ruefully. “I don’t know exactly where I’ll be living by then, I'm still sorting out the fine details, but wherever it is I’d love you to stay with me. Where in Europe?”
“Italy. Amalfi I think? Does that sound right?”
“Any chance you get a plus one?” Amy was only half-joking… she loved Italy.
“Sorry to say but it doesn’t really work like that.”
“A girl can ask.” Amy sat in silence for a few moments, thinking it through… Luisa coming to London. She’d enjoy that, both of them would, and Amy would love to show her a bit of her world.
They ended up chatting for a while about what they could do as part of Luisa visiting, before they settled again into that easy, relaxed silence that worked so well between them.
“So… I’ve got a question,” Amy said eventually.
“Ok…?”
“When I told you what I’d imagined earlier…”
“Yes…?”
“And you asked me to do something like that to you in real life…”
“Yes…?” Luisa smiled shyly as she said it, clearly catching on to where Amy was going.
“Did you mean it?”
Luisa paused for a few moments, looking into Amy’s eyes, before she said, “I think so. I mean, I’ve not done anything quite like that before, but it sounded fun.” She gave Amy’s hand a squeeze. “Have you done something like that?”
Amy nodded.
“Really?” Luisa’s eyes had widened in surprise.
“Yes, really. It’s good, very good in the right situation with the right person.”
“You’ve done that a lot?”
