Hot, panting, and sweaty, Miguel again leaned back. He pressed his shoulders into Hector’s chest and arched his spine, riding his cock faster and faster. Hector lowered his head and took Miguel’s mouth in another fierce kiss. Miguel’s cock was absolutely rigid in Hector’s fist. His release pounded in his blood, made his toes curl, and his balls ache. Hector kept kissing him as his release rose and rose until his whole body trembled with it. They kissed even as Miguel screamed with his orgasm, pulled from him by Hector’s hand sliding up and down on his cock. He kept moving until Hector’s thighs flexed beneath him before they went stiff. A second later, Hector’s cock pulsed inside him, followed by the sweet warmth of his release. Hector’s hand stilled on his cock, but he continued to hold Miguel as he groaned and shuddered his way through his climax.
It took several long moments for the pulsing pleasure of their climaxes to fade. Once the waves of arousal finally eased back, they sat there for a moment to catch their breath. Then Hector released Miguel from the cuffs and pushed him up slightly. Miguel winced a little as the still slightly erect cock slid out of him. Once his hands were free and their bodies disconnected, Hector pulled Miguel back onto his lap, sitting sideways this time, and slouched down with his eyes closed.
Miguel slumped against Hector’s chest, resting there as Hector caressed his waist and down to his still warm ass. He titled his head back, so he could look up at his boyfriend. “I love you.”
Hector smiled with his eyes still closed. “Of course, you do.”
“Hey!” Miguel cried out in teasing indignation.
Hector’s smile turned into a grin, and he squeezed Miguel in a hug. “Kidding. I love you, too. I’ve loved you all my life.”
Happy with that declaration, Miguel sighed and snuggled in even closer. “Good. Now rub my butt and feed me tacos.”

The next morning, Hector stepped outside Miguel’s apartment, dressed in a fresh uniform and on his way to work. As he locked the door with the key Miguel had given him, the hair on the back of his neck stood up. It felt like he was being watched. He looked to the right where the feeling was coming from, but he didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
Feeling uneasy, he unzipped his bag just in case he needed quick access to his service weapon. Ordinarily, he’d already have it in his holster, but since he was aware of Miguel’s discomfort with guns, he waited until he was out of his presence before he wore it. A car started up and pulled out of its parking space. He was too high up and it was too far down the road for Hector to get the plates. The car wasn’t driving erratically or anything. It could be an everyday Joe on his way to work. But something didn’t feel right to Hector as he watched the dark luxury car K turn and take off in the opposite direction.
Damnit. He didn’t want to panic and assume Santos had been in that car, but he wasn’t comfortable leaving Miguel just then. After deliberating for a quick second, he opened the door and went back inside.
Miguel looked at him in surprise. “I thought you were gone.”
“Not yet. Let’s go get breakfast and then we can each go to work from there.”
“Do you want me to make you something?”
“No, that’s okay. I want to buy you breakfast.”
“Okay, let me get my stuff.”
While Miguel moved around the apartment getting his shoes and messenger bag, Hector pulled out his phone to text his sergeant. “I’m going to be a few minutes late to work.”
“No problem. We’re on the range today. Meet us there if we’ve already left the Pen by the time you get here.”
After his impromptu breakfast with Miguel, Hector arrived at the station. He was still preoccupied thinking about Santos as he walked down the hall. He’d nonchalantly asked Miguel what kind of car Santos drove. But Miguel had just rolled his eyes and said “You mean this week? He changes cars all the time.” So he wasn’t going to get any leads there. When he reached the Pen, Hector saw that the team hadn’t left yet, but Clay still teased him for his late arrival.
“Nice of you to show up.”
“Shut it, Foster.” He dropped a couple bags of Whataburger’s honey butter chicken biscuits on his desk. “You can’t mock the man who brought breakfast.”
Brady whooped at the free food, and Clay offered effusive apologies until Hector relented and let him have one of the breakfast sandwiches. Everyone got up to grab a biscuit. They ate as they listened to Jody go over their schedule.
“We’re on the indoor range today. You will be scored, but consider it a practice for your upcoming official accuracy evals.”
Everyone nodded and moved out at her direction. When they walked into the ground level range, the acrid smell of gun smoke assaulted Hector’s nose. Their sergeant had reserved the range ahead of time, so there were enough open stalls for the whole team. Hector put on his protective ear and eye gear and stepped up with his Sig Sauer 9mm.
“Ready!”
Hector waited calmly, his eyes locked on the target in front of him.
“Fire!”
Gunfire rang out, echoing in the enclosed space. His shooting earmuffs muffled the sound, but it was still loud. The target sheet flapped slightly as it moved back and forth on the motorized track. Hector kept tension in his arms and his trigger finger relaxed as he fired with quick precision. A red light clicked on and the target stopped moving.
“Reload!”
Metallic clicks echoed up and down the range as empty clips were discarded and new ones locked into place. Hector moved with practiced ease as he reloaded. He was already in shooting stance by the time they got the next go ahead to begin.
