Tears of pleasure slipped, but I couldn’t pull away. I became addicted to this feeling. I was on the brink of something, a rush of sensation building as he kept his finger moving in and out.

“Fuck,” I cried out. He climbed over me, his finger never stopping.

Artur gripped my hair, drawing me closer to him as his movements quickened. Each thrust of his finger drove me closer to the edge. I couldn’t hold on much longer. My body quivered. With a final push, he pulled out his finger and rubbed me until I spilled over. I gasped, my eyes locked with his as he made me come undone. I wanted to look away, but he kept me there, forcing me to meet his gaze, to feel every part of this moment.

My chest heaved, and my body relaxed under his weight. I couldn’t deny it. I had never felt anything like it. It felt too good and too intense.

“To answer you, I’m not drunk. I know exactly what I’m doing.” He released me and stood, his hand on his belt as he unbuckled it. Shifting, I closed my legs. “I told you to leave, didn’t I?”

I gulped. He unzipped and released his cock, and a shudder ran through me. He was hard and thick, God help me.

“Get on your knees.” He gripped my hair, yanking me closer to him. “Open your mouth,” he commanded.

Obeying him, I opened my mouth, and he shoved himself inside, filling my mouth. He thrusted in and out, the fullness stretching my throat. I fought the urge to pull back, knowing he wouldn’t let me.

Gagging sounds filled the room as he moved relentlessly, his grip tightening in my hair. My eyes fluttered open and closed as I struggled to keep up, trying to breathe between each thrust. He hit the back of my throat with increasing force.

The pace quickened. My breath became shallow. I couldn’t think or focus on anything except the way he moved, the way he controlled me.

With a brutal force, he pushed into my throat, filling me. His release flooded down my throat. He didn’t stop, he went further, forcing me to take all of him, swallowing every drop.

When he finally pulled away, my head spun, and I gasped for air, trying to regain my bearings. He didn’t give me a moment to recover. He yanked me around, his arm wrapping around my chest and pulling me back against him.

My throat burned, the salty taste of his release still lingering in my mouth. His free hand slid down my stomach, tracing the outline of my body as if he were mapping out the terrain. He leaned in, his lips brushing against my neck, then murmured.

“Now that you’re here. Let’s talk about the deal.” His voice was low and menacing, and it made my heart race. “Doing this means nothing, Little Gem.”

Reality settled back. And slowly, my heart shattered into pieces.

“Let me tell you something,” he said, pressing his lips against my jaw. I could barely breathe. “I’m Rodion fucking Konstantinov. And there are only two things I care about. Business and money.”

“Can I leave?” I gasped through the tightness in my chest.

He chuckled, the sound of it colder than any winter night. “Leave my territory. I never want to see you again.” He unwrapped himself from me and stepped away. I stayed frozen, the ache in my chest spreading like wildfire.

After a few seconds, a door slammed, and I shivered. I wiped my tears, slipped out of bed, dressed in a daze, and walked out. But I left a piece of myself in that room, one I knew I would never reclaim.

Chapter Twenty-one

Rodion

It had been an hoursince I kicked Alessia out. I stood under a cold, punishing shower, letting the water hit my skin as I tried to wash away the chaos swirling in my mind. The droplets fell against me like needles, but no matter how hard I tried to focus on the sting of the cold, I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

Her scent still lingered, and the feel of her soft skin against mine stuck with me. The way she had looked at me was both desperate and innocent, as if she couldn’t decide if she wanted to escape or fall deeper into whatever game I was playing.

Alessia had been a pawn in my plans from the start—a piece to use and discard when I no longer needed her. I convinced myself of that. But I forgot to account for the way she affected me. She wasn’t supposed to matter. I wasn’t supposed to care. Yet somehow she invaded my thoughts, making me question every decision I made since she walked into this house.

But today’s behavior was because of that damn pull. Thatgnawing urge to feel, test, and see how far it went. It started the moment I hit the floor, breath failing, and my body giving out. It had been two weeks since I did the kidney dialysis, and I was making it worse with every fucking drink I took. I saw death tonight, brutal and familiar. And in that blur, I focused on her face. She should have left. She wasn’t supposed to see me like that, weak, broken, and vulnerable.

Knowing she was just a bargaining chip to get my kidney, I explored things that were meant never to happen. And then what? I kicked her out of my territory like trash I was disposing of. Fuck.

I turned off the shower and stepped out with a towel wrapped around my waist. Alessia was gone. The room was quiet until my phone started ringing. I reached for it. It was Pavel—a name that rarely showed up on my screen. He was my ghost in the system, a man buried deep in the ranks of California law enforcement. He was silent but lethal when needed. If I left a mess, he ensured my name stayed buried where no badge could ever find it.

“Pavel,” I answered, my eyes drifting to the bed that still reeked of what we did. The sheets were a mess of limbs and sweat, and her moans still echoed in my skull. I could still see her lying out like a fucking offering, legs open and her body trembling. Her innocence was everything a man could lose his mind over.

“I looked into the names on the list. Can we meet?”

Turning away from the bed, I rubbed my forehead. “Meet me at the club. Twenty minutes.”
