“I’ll have your cut made so you can wear it at the club and biker events.”
“That sounds great.”
“You don’t even know what the hell I’m talking about, do you?” He smiled.
“No, but you can explain all that to me later.”
He kissed her long and hard, then held her close. “We need to build a house. I saw some land just outta town that’s for sale. It’s on five acres. That’d be cool for Thor.”
“And I can get a horse… maybe two if you’re up to riding.”
“Never been on a horse, but I’ll try it.”
“It can be just as much fun as a motorcycle. When we went riding a few days ago, it felt like I was on a horse galloping in a meadow, but much faster. I can’t believe this. I’m so happy.”
“We’re gonna have a good life.”
She tilted her head up. “You like kids, right?”
Nodding, he replied, “I do.”
“And you want them?”
“Yeah, but we got a bit of time for that.” He kissed the side of her head.
“We do, but I’d like to have a couple before I’m thirty-six.”
“I can arrange that.” He squeezed her tight.
“I love you so much,” she said softly.
“Then, it’s all perfect.”
Chains stared into the fire as he held his woman, the bitter gash inside him from his ex-wife’s betrayal finally healed and gone. Autumn was his today and tomorrow, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
