Elias stormed straight toward his desk. With an angry movement, he ripped off his coat and threw it carelessly onto the table. The coat slid off the polished surface and dropped onto the floor.
But Elias didn’t spare it a single glance.
Another pair of footsteps entered the office shortly after.
Unlike Elias’s aggressive pace, Felix walked in calmly and carefully.
The secretary was dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, his appearance neat and composed as always. Thin silver-rimmed glasses rested on his sharp features, giving him a calm and intelligent look. His dark hair was styled neatly without a single strand out of place, and despite the tense atmosphere, his expression remained professional and controlled.
He stopped near the desk with his hands folded respectfully in front of him, watching Elias cautiously.
Elias paced back and forth aggressively across the office.
His movements were restless.
Aggressive.
Like a man trying to suppress something violently boiling inside him.
Then suddenly he stopped and turned toward Felix sharply.
“Did she call yet?” he barked furiously.
Felix blinked cluelessly.
Elias stared at him darkly before continuing in an irritated voice,
“It’s already been hours since I left the house. Did she call you to ask about me?”
“No, sir,” Felix answered. “Mrs. Creed hasn’t called.”
Elias’s expression darkened instantly. Displeasure flashed visibly across his face.
His jaw tightened harder.
“Check your phone,” he snapped.
Felix obeyed. He pulled out his phone, checked the call history before walking over and handing it to Elias.
“No calls, sir.”
Elias grabbed it impatiently and looked through the records.
No missed calls. No messages.
Not a single attempt from Amara to contact him.
The atmosphere around Elias instantly became colder.
He threw the phone onto the desk irritably before turning away, running one hand harshly through his hair.
Then he spun around again and and barked angrily,
“I haven’t seen her for three months, and this is how she acts?”
His voice grew harsher with every word.
“I come back after all this time, and she acts like it’s not even a big deal. She didn’t even properly look at me before asking for a divorce.”
