“Don’t touch me. Now, what do you want? I have somewhere that I need to be after this.”

“Where with that fuck nigga, Sincere? I can’t believe you fell for a nigga like him. I’ve heard all about y’all being together.”

“That’s none of your business, Ray. Now, what did you need to tell me? You said it was a matter of life or death, but you seem fine to me.”

“It is a matter of life or death. I can’t live without you, Kenedi. Not having you in my life makes me feel like I’m dying,” he said, causing me to roll my eyes. Here I was thinking his dumbass had something that he truly needed to tell me, and nope, he was still on bullshit.

“I’m mad that I let you waste my damn time,” I said, watching as Sincere came up to the table and took a seat in the middle of the two of us.Shit!

FOURTEEN

SINCERE

When I gotthe message from an unknown number, more than likely Logan, I immediately went to delete the thread. Again, I wasn’t the type of nigga who believed in taking information from just anybody. Nine times out of ten, when a motherfucker was sharing information about someone else, it was because they wanted something out of it. So, how could you trust a motherfucker whose intentions weren’t pure to start with?

But when the photo attachment came through, that was when I decided to really look at the picture. And sure enough, there was Kenedi sitting at a table with that bitch ass nigga, Ray. And while it looked innocent, I didn’t like the fact that she was there with him and didn’t tell me about it. When it came to Logan, that bitch ambushed me, and while I definitely could’ve handled the shit better, it wasn’t some shit that I planned. Kenedi planned this shit and thought it was okay to go meet up with her ex.

UNKNOWN:

It’s 7pm, do you know where your woman is?

Ignoring the message, I pulled up the FindMy app to find Kenedi’s location and felt like this was the perfect time for me to pop up. Thankfully, Kenedi hadn’t been fully exposed to my craziness so far, but today, she was about to get a crash course on why I wasn’t the nigga to play with. And she was going to see firsthand that I was a stingy nigga and I didn’t like to share what was mine with anybody, especially her ex-nigga.

It didn’t take long for me to find them in the restaurant once I got there. After bypassing the waitress, I made my way to their table and took a seat between them. Kenedi’s face held shock and fear. While Ray looked annoyed that I had crashed whatever the fuck he thought was about to happen here tonight. I would be honest and say that it took me a lot of restraint not to knock him smooth the fuck out of his chair, but somehow, I managed to keep my shit together, for the time being at least.

“You know, when you said you had a meeting, I was thinking a client or artist meeting. Not a meeting with this nigga,” I said, pointing to Ray as I stared at Kenedi.

“You told this nigga we had a meeting? Nah, we’re on a date, my nigga,” Ray said, immediately pissing me the fuck off.

“What? No, this is not a fucking date. He told me that he had something to tell me and that it was life or death, and he could only tell me in person.

“Is that right? So, what did he tell you?”

“Not a damn thing. I only came because I thought it was something that would affect me, too. But now I see that it was a waste of my time, per usual,” she said, rolling her eyes. I believed her. Even though she’d conveniently left out who shewas meeting with, I wouldn’t paint her out to be a liar because I knew that she wasn’t.

“Kenedi, I want you back, baby. I can’t live without you, and this nigga doesn’t?—,”

He stopped in the middle of his sentence the moment my fist connected with his mouth. I didn’t know what kind of nigga he took me for, but he was sadly confused. You would’ve thought that by now that nigga would’ve put his resources to work and figured out who I was and why I wasn’t the motherfucker that he wanted to keep trying, but clearly, he was too focused on trying to get my woman back to really do his homework. It was okay. He was about to get a crash fucking course, too.

“Can we just go, Sincere? It’s not worth it, I promise. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I really only came because I thought he had something important to tell me. And I know this is a bit hypocritical, so I’m sorry for that, too.”

Looking between her and him, I decided that I would pay his ass a visit later. But he was going to see me for the bullshit he was up to. Unfortunately for him, his inability to let go would cost him everything.

“Yeah, we can go. You got some making up to do anyway,” I said, grabbing her hand and leading her out of the restaurant.

Once Kenedi didwhat she needed to do to make me forget all about her not telling me that she was going to link up with her ex-nigga, I put her to bed and made my exit. I had some shit that I needed to take care of tonight, and I couldn’t sleep until I knew it was handled. I was excited about getting my hands dirty, too.

“Sincere, what are you doing here?” Logan asked, jumping as she came out of the shower. Her body was glistening from the water, but that shit didn’t move me. She couldn’t hold a candle to Kenedi, and besides, I knew her insides were rotten, and that shit turned me off.

“Put some clothes on.”

“I thought you liked seeing my body,” she said, smirking.

“At one point I did, then I found Kenedi,” I said, smirking at the fact that I knew I had hurt her feelings.

“What do you want, Sincere? Did you come to make up? Because I’m ready to do that.”

Taking a seat across from where she sat on her bed, I studied her. There had to truly be something wrong with her. I just knew it had to be some kind of mental condition to make up the kind of scenarios that she was coming up with in her head. I had never given her the idea that we would be anything more than friends with benefits, and I used the term friends very loosely.
