I was trembling as they finally skated to the boards near me, both stopping close enough that their gear brushed each other.
“I’m…” I swallowed, then broke into a smile that felt wicked all the way through. “I’m crowning the match…”
Rhea and Tanner leaned in, hanging on the verdict.
“A tie.”
Tanner’s jaw dropped, and Rhea’s eyes widened. For a second, they both looked like I’d short-circuited their brains. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thriving on the power.
“And that means,” I continued, voice thickening with excitement, “that when I spread my thighs at the dinner table tomorrow night, and let out the dirty little secret that I skipped panties all together,” Tanner growled and Rhea licked her lips, “I expect both of you to slide your hands under my skirt to feel for yourselves.”
The air crackled around us as we were all imagining it. The velvet booth, the lights down low, casting warm shadows around us, the dancers putting on their show, arousing us all, the heat of three bodies pressed together while the city pulsed around us.
Need rolled off them in waves.
But then, Rhea’s gaze broke first, flicking to the clock on the scoreboard, and her confidence slipped for just a moment. “I have a shift tonight.”
A pang of disappointment punched through me, knowing she was going to be unavailable for the rest of the night. Unavailable to see to the dirty, consuming need she had helped build in me all evening.
She grabbed the front of my coat and kissed me hard. Her tongue swept into my mouth as her bare hand slid over the back of my neck, under my hair, holding me to her as she drew a moan from my lips. She kissed me like she was marking me, claiming me, promising me tomorrow would be unbelievable.
But most of all, she kissed me like she wanted Tanner to watch.
Which he did. I could hear his breathing slow as Rhea tilted her head in the other direction, so he could see where our lips tangled. I needed to feel that connection to him at the same moment, so I reached out blindly, finding his arm and digging my nails into it as I pulled him closer.
The manly scent of his cologne and sweat filled my senses as his big body corralled the two of us, his hand sliding down my back to my ass as Rhea moaned into my mouth.
I was ready to climb onto the rim and launch myself at both of them when she pulled back, breaking the kiss and taking a deep breath through her nose as if she were fighting for control. Turning, she gave Tanner a slow, dangerous smile.
“Take care of her tonight,” she told Tanner.
There was no jealousy or anger between them anymore. There was simply hunger.
“I will,” he said, voice low and heated.
My knees barely held me up as Tanner’s hand, strong and firm, against my ass, held me to the boards.
Rhea winked at me, “Goodnight, Goldie.” She skated away, hips swaying, full of purpose and filthy promise. “See you both tomorrow night,” she called over her shoulder.
Then she disappeared down the tunnel in a whisper of cold air and sparks. Leaving me alone with Tanner. His eyes warmed the side of my face, his body trembled with everything he was holding back. And my whole damn body was ready to be in his hands for the night.
“Take me home, Tanner.” I purred, licking my lips and taking a deep breath. “And don’t you dare shower first.”
He cocked a one-sided grin my way as he skated backward toward his locker room. “I’ll be out in two minutes. I hope you’re ready for me.”
His truck smelled like home. And that wasn’t just the hormones raging through my body and urging me to ride Tanner’s big dick while he drove us to my place. But I did give in and take a deep breath in at his neck as he shifted the truck and pulled out of the parking lot.
I sat in the center seat of his truck, his gear shift between my knees—the actual gear shift, unfortunately.
He cleared his throat as he drove down the dark street towards town, trying to pretend he wasn’t wound tight like I was.
I didn’t feel like pretending, though. I leaned in, lips grazing his ear. “Watching you get physical with Rhea made me so hot.”
His knuckles whitened on the steering wheel. “Goldie.”
“Hmm?” I dragged my nails lightly down his forearm. “You liked it too. Didn’t you?”
He made a noise, half choke, half growl. “I liked… competing.”
