My heart pulsed in my temples. “What’s wrong?”

He slapped himself, freaking me out. “Fuck!”

“Zach, please, stop. Talk to me.”

“You’re not ready for me, sweetness.”

“What?”

“I’ll hurt you. I can’t hurt you.”

“Zach, please.”

“When you’re ready, Keera. I promise. Only when you’re ready.”

“I am ready. Please… You can’t…” Tears pricked my eyes. This couldn’t be happening again. “What did I do wrong?”

“Wrong?” He rested his cheek against the top of my head. “You’re prefect.”

“Then why—”

“Brandon!” He yanked himself away from me and snapped the door open I could swear he would pluck it out of the hinges. “Get your ass in here!”

Chapter 17

Brandon

“What the fuck did you do to her? You made her cry!”

Zach slumped in a chair silently as Kyle gave Keera a hug, asking her what was wrong.

I jabbed a finger in the air at my stupid twin. “I’ll deal with you later.” I hurried toward her and kissed her hand. “Are you all right? Did he hurt you?”

“No,” she whispered.

I inspected the tinge of pinkish red on the sheets and on Zach’s dick. “But he…”

“Barely,” she said. “I don’t know what I did wrong. He suddenly…changed. He said things…and stopped without even…”

“There’s nothing wrong with you, Keera!” Zach shouted. “Can you tell her? Show her.”

“Show her what?”

“What I can’t show her without hurting her, you fuck.” He put his head between his hands and rocked himself. “She’s perfect. I can’t trust myself. I can’t hurt her.”

“You weren’t hurting me, Zach,” she said. “It’s normal to feel some pain at first. I wasn’t complaining.”

“You don’t understand. You’re not ready for me, sweetness. You’re not.”

I cradled her face between my hands, distracting her. “It’s okay. My brother isn’t his best self right now. He’s like that sometimes, but he’ll get better. Just give him some time okay? He probably got too...caveman. Men are like that sometimes when their instincts take over. You drove him too wild, but her cares about you too much to be selfish and just take without thinking of your wellbeing.”

“He wasn’t hurting me, Brandon, and I was more than ready and he knows it. He just…doesn’t want me.”

“No way, Keera. The three of us want you so much,” Kyle said. “A minute ago we were competing ferociously to have you. You can’t think like that. Not when there are three hard as fuck men in the same room where you are.”

She pulled her knees up to cover herself, her confidence slipping away. It was painful to see her not knowing how beautiful she was, how perfect she was like Zach said. I hated him for making her feel that way.

Zach threw his hand in the air. “Can someone fucking make her a woman already? Someone who is not…”
