"I'm here. I'm right here." Tears streaming down my face. "Help is coming. Just hold on. Please hold on."

"The baby..." He coughs. More blood. "Keep the baby safe."

"The baby needs their father! You're going to be fine. You're going to hold them. You promised!"

Mikhail is on the radio. Shouting for medical. For the doctor. For anyone who can help.

Yaroslav kneels beside me. Presses additional pressure on the wounds. "Boss, stay with us. Paramedics are three minutes out."

Three minutes. An eternity when someone is bleeding out in your arms.

Lev's breathing is shallow. Rapid. His skin going gray.

"Don't close your eyes." I cup his face. "Look at me. Stay with me."

"Love you." It's barely a whisper. "Love you so much."

"I love you too. Which is why you have to fight. Have to stay. Mila needs you. I need you. Our baby needs you."

His eyes are drifting closed.

"LEV!" I'm screaming now. "Don't you leave me! Don't you fucking leave me!"

Mikhail appears with a medical kit. Field dressings. Pressure bandages.

We work together. Pack the wounds. Try to slow the bleeding.

But there's so much blood. Pooling beneath him. Soaking into destroyed carpet.

Too much blood.

The paramedics burst through. Professional. Efficient. They push me aside gently.

I watch them work. Assess. Radio ahead to the private Bratva hospital.

"Multiple GSWs. Severe blood loss. BP dropping. We need O-neg standing by and a surgical team ready."

They load him onto a stretcher. Start IVs. Oxygen mask.

I try to follow. Mikhail stops me.

"You're covered in blood. And pregnant. Let me drive you."

"I'm not leaving him!"

"You won't. I'll get you there faster than the ambulance anyway." He steers me toward the door. "Come on. Let's go."

The ride is a blur. Mikhail is driving like a demon. Me in the passenger seat staring at blood on my hands. Lev's blood.

At the hospital, they rush him straight to surgery. I'm stopped at the doors.

"Family only beyond this point."

"I'm his fiancée! I'm carrying his child!"

The nurse looks at my pregnant belly. At the blood covering me. Her expression softens. "I'll update you as soon as I can. But right now, you need to let the doctors work."

They disappear through doors marked SURGERY. Taking Lev with them.
