I hollowed my cheeks, making sure I caught all of his seed. Sasha pulled me off his dick and stared down at me through the holes of his mask, both of us panting.

My face surely was a mess of tears and saliva but as his grip on my hair loosened, I could feel his gloved fingers caress my cheek tenderly. Blinking the tears from my eyes, still trying to catch my breath, I leaned into his touch.

Sasha made a satisfied, rumbling sound deep in the back of his throat and rasped, “Good girl. You did so well.”

With his thumbs, he swiped the tears away and then used his sleeve to wipe my mouth before tucking his still half-hard cock away and zipping up his jumpsuit. He cast a sideways glance at Eric, whose face was covered in tears and snot, and shook his head slowly.

“Fucking pathetic. I’d almost feel sorry for you, especially because you never get to experience what I just did, but…” He shrugged. “It would be a lie.”

I stared up at him in a daze, my thoughts lazy and sluggish as I basked in the afterglow of what had just happened. Sasha pulled me up effortlessly, my chest smackingagainst his front. My knees were still weak, but he steadied me easily.

Somewhere to my left Eric made a strangled, muffled sound through the gag. The reality of the situation snapped violently back into place.

Blood.

Zip ties.

A grown man who had stalked me, had tried to take advantage of me, on my floor with a shattered kneecap.

My stomach lurched.

“We’re running out of time. I need you to pack.”

“Pack?” I echoed dumbly, still dazed.

“Yes, baby. Pack. Just the stuff you can’t live without. The stuff you can’t replace.” He cast a look around my disaster of a living room. “Although it looks like packing is what you were doing anyway?”

I shifted my weight, suddenly very aware of everything. The mess, the blood, the gun at his side, and the fact that I was standing here half-dressed and completely out of my depth.

“I’m moving.”

There. This summed up my situation perfectly, without me having to divulge my utter failure at adult life.

“Yeah you are.”

“I … I know. That’s what I just said.” I gestured around the room, eyebrows raised. “Hence all ofthis.”

“Not what I meant. God, you’re adorable.”

Sasha still hadn’t taken his mask off, so I couldn’t read his expression. My thoughts were still slow and hazy; my brain was still fixated on the fact that, less than two minutes ago, I had made choices likely to result in my being disowned by all my ancestors.

Christ, he hadn’t even fucked me yet, and I was still feeling as though every rational thought had left my body.

His hand lifted to my throat, gripping it lightly and commanding my full attention.

“You’re coming with me, and as much as I hate rushing you, we’re running out of time.”

Another muffled, desperate noise came from the floor, making me look at Eric. His wide, terrified eyes were fixed on me.

“Sasha…” I said, my voice low. “What about … him?”

Sasha didn’t even look. “He’ll live.”

“That’s not—” My voice wavered. “That’s not what I meant.”

“He made a choice,” Sasha said flatly. “Now he lives with the consequences. If he’s smart, he keeps his mouth shut. If he’s not…” He shrugged.

The implication settled heavy and cold in my stomach.
