The look on her face—pure desire—nearly undoes me.

She takes a bite of her cookie and I reward her by sucking gently on her clit.

An unholy moan spills from her lips, and she clenches her fists, decimating what’s left of the cookie. Crumbs fall onto the bed, soiling the linens.

“I can’t— “ She gasps, fisting the sheets. “We’re making a mess.”

Hell yeah, we are.

“Sex is supposed to be messy. If it’s not, you’re doing it wrong.”

She grabs another cookie and brings it to her mouth. She hesitates. “You really don’t have to do this. It might take a while, and I probably won’t be able to reach orgasm anyway.”

The desire to throttle every asshole she’s ever dated resurfaces, but I shut it down.

I flash her a devilish grin as I look up at her. “Would you deny a hungry man his favorite meal?” She shakes her head. “Exactly. Relax and eat your cookies, darlin’.”

I work her relentlessly, licking and sucking as her pleasure builds. It’s slow and steady, and I’m enjoying the hell out of myself, memorizing every little sound she makes. The fact that I get to take my time and savor her just makes it that much sweeter.

“Oh god.”

“God can’t help you.” I circle her clit and suck hard. “You belong to me now.”

She moans, and it’s music to my ears. I don’t want to go a single day without hearing that sound.

I keep at it until she’s writhing against the pillows, surrounded by crumbs, my name on her lips.

When the last wave of pleasure subsides, I press a kiss to her abdomen and stretch out next to her, propping myself up on one elbow.

“Just so you know, I don’t normally have sex on the first date.” She sighs, looking entirely satisfied. “But those were really good cookies.”

“Noted.” I chuckle, pleased to see she ate every last one. “There are more where those came from.”

“Cookies or orgasms?”

“Both.”

“Thank you for tonight. This is the best date I’ve ever been on.” She rolls onto her side, curling into me. “Is this crazy?”

“What?”

“You and me. Dating, or whatever this is. There are a million ways it can go wrong. We’re neighbors. My job is temporary. The—”

“There are also a million ways it can go right.” I brush a stray curl from her forehead and smooth down her hair. “Fate brought us together for a reason, and this time, I’m not letting you go.”

ATLANTA GLIDERS FACE AN UPHILL BATTLE

After a disappointing inaugural season, the Atlanta Gliders continue to struggle, delivering a preseason record that defies logic. Despite securing the number one draft pick and making several off-season trades, the Gliders look shaky heading into opening night. It’s clear they’ve got the talent, but do they have the chemistry?

If Coach Carlyle is feeling the pressure, he hasn’t let on. When asked if he was concerned about the team’s preseason record of 1-4-2, he responded with confidence, stating, “We’ve got a great group of guys on this team, and listen, we’re a young team. We’re going to make mistakes and we’re going to sort of play with the lines until we get it right. That’s the point of preseason hockey: to smooth out the wrinkles and build a strong roster.”

The Gliders may be finessing the lines, but it’s a safe bet we’ll continue to see number one draft pick, twenty-year-old Conor McGinnis, producing alongside veteran captain Knox St. James, who led the team with eighty-four points last season.

Although the Gliders haven’t officially announced their opening night roster, it seems likely yesterday’s moves will be the team’s last.

Cuts included Larsson, MacIntyre, and Bell. All three have been assigned to the team’s AHL affiliate, the Augusta Rattlers.

Ryan Sutter, who is recovering from an ACL injury, remains on IR, and Ollie Davis, who suffered a torn rotator cuff last season, is predicted to be a healthy scratch for opening night.
