It seems I’m the one who gets to decide.
Joy.
“I don’t really feel like going out and dealing with other people,” I admit. “Can we just go back to the house and hang out?”
Davis’s smile lights up his face. “Thank fuck. I wasn’t joking earlier about us being out with other people. Did you see how many people were checking out the two of you?”
I can’t help the laugh that spills out as I stare at him.
Weweregetting a lot of attention tonight from both the male and female populations. I can’t say for sure who was being checked out, but I know the four men surrounding me are hot as sin, and if I wasn’t with them, I don’t think I’d be able to stop staring at them either.
I’d prefer to ignore the idea that anyone was checking me out. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
I know I look damn good tonight, but the only people I want to look good for are these four men.
Dinner went really well, and I’m finally accepting that maybe—just maybe—Mason, Davis, and Alexander are just as interested in me as they are Crew. I need to take them at their word and stop letting the very evil voice in the back of my head make me doubt myself and them.
Yes, I’m a beta. No, alphas don’t need betas like they need omegas—and vice versa—but Davis is a beta too. Mason and Alexander have been with him for years.
I’d like to blame the omegas I’ve met over the years for making me feel inferior to them, but I’ve only met a handful of bitchy omegas who thought they were better than me because of their designation.
No, this is one hundred percent just me talking myself into thinking I’m not enough for any of them. Just some good old-fashioned self-doubt, which is something anyone can have—no matter their designation.
“I’m good with hanging out at the house.” Crew grins. “As nice as it is to dress up and go out, I already wish I was in my sweats.”
“I’m all for you being in your sweats,” I say with a grin, eyes widening as growls surround us. “Umm…”
Davis snickers, eyes full of heat as he grabs mine and Crew’s hands, dragging us up to join him. He links his arm through ours so he’s in the middle. “Just ignore the alphas. They’ve forgotten their manners. Although I’ll admit, Crew looked damn good in his sweatpants the other morning. Do you often go commando?”
“Seriously, Davis?” Mason groans, but I just giggle as Crew grins.
“Not always, but more often than not. Ever since they started making male omega clothing with slick-gathering lining. There’s nothing worse than underwear lines ruining a good pair of leather pants, am I right?” He glances over his shoulder when he says that, and I can’t help but do the same.
Alexander and Mason’s eyes are glued to Crew’s ass, which is what my omega surely meant to happen. I giggle again as I turn forward, my head tilting so I can see him around Davis. “You’re trouble, Crew.”
“You know it.” He shoots me a wink while Davis throws his head back as he laughs.
“I think you’re both trouble—separately and together.”
I shrug, knowing he’s probably right.
Once we make it back to the car, Davis helps me and Crew into the backseat before tossing Mason the keys. “You can drive home.”
Mason gapes at him as Davis climbs in on my other side. Alexander just shakes his head and climbs into the passenger seat, which sends me and Crew into a fit of laughter.
“I think you’re trouble, Davis Cole,” Crew says as Mason finally climbs into the SUV and pulls out of the parking spot.
“That, he definitely is.” Alexander grins over his shoulder. “I’m not sure if Mason and I are ready for three troublemakers.”
I pout, crossing my arms over my chest. “I’m only trouble when Crew is involved.”
“You can’t fool us, princess.” Mason chuckles as I meet his eyes in the rearview mirror. “We’ve known you long enough to know better.”
“Whatever.” I stick out my tongue as Davis drapes his arm over the back of the seat, his fingers sliding into Crew’s hair.
Crew lets out a contented sigh as Davis plays with his hair, bringing a smile to my face.
Seriously, why did I freak out over the four of them being scent matches? It’s clear they’re obsessed with Crew, but they’ve been paying me just as much attention.
