“You ready to go?”

I laughed and shook my head. “In due time.”

“Then stop cutting the fuck up.”

“Okaaay,” I dragged when he bit my ear.

“I got something for you,” he said, standing from his bike and reaching inside his saddlebag. When he turned back to me, he held up a vest with the crew’s colors and the name he'd dubbed me with on the back in cerulean-blue letters, the same color as his bike.

“Oh my God, babe. For me?” I asked, smiling widely.

He nodded. “Gotta make it official. You rockin’ with me or what?”

“Of course!” I exclaimed.

He helped me into the vest, and I kissed his lips. “Thank you, babe.”

“Now you’re really official. Welcome to the clan,” Kenzi said, smiling.

“Thanks, sis!”

“A’ight, y’all. We ’bout to get this shit poppin’! We're taking bets! Twenty in the pot, but if you want to up the bet, that’s cool too,” the man known as Primo announced.

“Who’s racing?” I asked while everyone put their money in the bowl.

“Grue and Ty Money.”

“I got five hundred onGrue,” I said and winked at Ghana. He smirked and kissed my lips.

“Oh, shit! Big money. You got faith in ya mans like that?” Primo asked, chuckling.

“Always.”

“She knows what it is,” Ghana replied.

“I got five hundred on my brother too! Let’s get this moneeeyy!” Kenzi sang, digging in Ruger’s pocket and pulling out his money roll. She tossed some bills into the bowl, and I pulled out my cash and tossed it in as well.

“Make me proud, baby,” I told him.

“You already know. Give me a good-luck kiss.”

I stood on the tips of my toes and drove my tongue into his mouth. We kissed for a moment before I pulled away.

“Mm-hmm. You getting pregnant tonight,” he said, sliding his helmet on, getting on his bike, and starting the engine. I giggled and stepped onto the curb with Kenzi, Willow, and Weslei, who’d just shown up with Jaxson. I watched him ride to the center of the street next to someone I assumed was Ty Money. One of the MCR ladies walked between the bikes, holding her hands in the air. Ghana looked over at me, kissed his two fingers, and patted his chest.

I smiled and blew him a kiss just as he revved his engine, and the girl dropped her arms. Ghana took off, and I already knew he was about to win.

Win the race and win my heart.

“What up doe, Ru?” I greeted him as Ros and I walked into his bike shop. He sat at his desk, clicking around on the computer, before he stood and came around to greet us.

“What up, my baby?” He slapped me a five. “Ms. Autumn,” he said, giving Autumn a hug.

“Hey, Mekai. I’ve never been here before. This is really nice,” she complimented, looking around the shop.

“Thank you kindly. What brings y’all by on this beautiful day?”

“Shit much. Shorty wanna ride wit’ me. Came to check out some starter bikes for her.”
