I didn’t know what to say. My heart felt like it was thumping in my throat, which made it impossible to speak.

“Chloe?” he asked. “Will you marry me?”

Epilogue

One month after she was released from the hospital, Chloe became my wife. It was a simple ceremony. Neither one of us had much family to speak of, although Legacy and Elodie and their respective families were both there. Her relationship with her half-siblings was still strained, but they were working on it. I was glad of that because someone like Chloe deserved a big family of people who loved her, but until Elodie and Legacy sorted themselves out, then I would be Chloe’s family. Or more specifically, she would be mine.

Along with our two children.

The idea of marriage should have scared me, or so I had been told, but it didn’t. In fact, the moment I saw her walking down the aisle towards me in her flowing dress with her stomach the size of a beach ball protruding out in front of her, I knew I had made the right decision.

She was mine. She had been since the moment she had come across me, broken on the side of the road. Chloe had saved me, although she would say it was the opposite way around.

“Pocket?”

Shaking myself, I stared down at her. She was so damn beautiful, and she was all mine. I was never going to let her go.

“Yeah, love?” Pulling her as close as her protruding stomach would allow, I rested my chin on the top of her head.

“You were staring at me,” she murmured against my chest. I could feel her lips and breath through my shirt and it felt amazing. “Are you having second thoughts?”

Surprised, I held her out at arm's length. My eyes searched her face. “No, that wasn’t what I was thinking. What the fuck, Chloe?”

I couldn’t believe she would think such a thing. Sure, we hadn’t been together long. It hadn’t been long at all, but if she didn’t know how crazy I was about her by now, then she never would.

“Well, that’s good.” Her glossy lips lifted at the corners. “Because you’re kind of stuck with us now.”

Grinning down at her, I tilted her chin up so I could plunder her lips with mine. Her gloss tasted like cherries, but it took nothing away from the natural sweetness of her lips. Over and over again, I tasted her. I could never get enough.

“Do you want to know what I was thinking?” I asked against her mouth.

“Yes, always,” she said without hesitation.

“I was thinking we should leave these guys to party and go back to the hotel I booked.” I winked. “I’m feeling the need to fill your belly.”

For a second, she looked confused, and then she started giggling. “Pocket, you’ve already filled my belly with babies.” Tenderly, her hand went to her stomach, but mine was there first.

Under my palm, one of my twins moved. It filled me with an overwhelming sense of happiness.

I had always thought that just riding with the Savage Sons was the most important thing in my life and, for a long time, it had been. Right up until I had met her. Now none of that mattered. I would even step back from being president of the Cardiff chapter if she asked me to.

I would do anything she wanted me to as long as she stayed with me.

“But I’m more than ok with practising for more.”

I did a double take, staring down at her wordlessly, and then I grinned.

“I’m glad to hear it because I am going to fuck you so hard and for so long that I’ll get you pregnant again.”

She laughed. A loud, happy sound that was only for my ears because the music in the pub where we were having our wedding reception was too loud.

“You know that’s impossible, right?”

“Well.” I shrugged. “I can try.” I winked. “But on a serious note, Chloe. I am so fucking in love with you. Completely and totally. You know that, right?”

She nodded, the smallest of smiles playing over her lips. “I love you, too.” Sliding her hand down my arm, she entwined our fingers before bringing my hand to her lips.

“Shall we leave now or do you think people will notice?”

I glanced around. “They won’t notice and even if they did, I don’t think I care. Come on, babe, let’s get you out of that dress and into my arms properly.”

“Lead the way, Pocket.”

Gripping her hand, I led her out in the street and into the waiting car. Tomorrow, after we had spent our wedding night making love and making plans for the future, I would drive us both back to Cardiff.

To our new life.

And I couldn’t wait.
