Nylune loved his raw need and his ferocity as he pushed him higher and higher. And for the next four days of his heat, Adew owned Nylune’s body. He made him scream, grovel, and yes, submit to him in every way.
And – Nylune was ashamed to think about it – he called him alpha again and again.
Fuck. Nylune leaned against the chilling compartment and groaned. He knew this would fucking happen, that he would turn into a slave for his touch. As it was, he itched to go back into that room and let him touch him again.
No. Control yourself, Nylune told himself.
He ran out of that room as soon as Adew’s body gave out and exhaustion took over. He got off the bed and put on his clothes, ready to run out of the fucking house, to get away from the alpha and his enticing scent and lascivious words. His scent was everywhere, and he reeked of it too. He couldn’t wait to wash it off.
But he couldn’t just leave.
For four days they ate nothing but finger foods, when Adew would let him breathe for a second. Nylune ran to the cooking station to get something, otherwise they would have starved to death. He hadn’t been kidding when he’d asked him if he could handle him – take everything he had to give. He fucked like he fought. Nothing stopped him until he couldn’t move.
Nylune felt bad about leaving him without something to eat. He was helping him after all – if Dr Micha was right, Adew might cure him of his prolonged heat. The least he could do was be nice. Nylune hoped he was cured after the most intense four days of his life. That would be amazing. But with the kind of luck that he had…
No, everything will go well, Nylune told himself.
The okie came and nudged him. Nylune stared down at him. He was still afraid of him, but he knew the animal wouldn’t hurt him. They’d moved around each other for four days, and it hadn’t done anything. The okie might just be the most misunderstood animal on the planet.
“You are the worst thing that’s ever happened to me,” he told him. “If it were not for you, I wouldn’t be here. I don’t know whether to thank you or cuss you out,” he said, shoving it away. It nudged him back, and the whole thing turned into a game. “You’ve been stuck in here for too long, haven’t you?”
The okie stared up at him.
“I’ll let you out,” he said turning to the chilling compartment. He opened it and looked inside. The okie nudged him again. “What? You need to stop that and communicate like a normal beast. Back up.” Nylune shooed it. The okie backed up and sat down. “Now, what do you want?”
It focused on the chilling compartment. Nylune looked inside and saw the packets of what looked like meat.
Damn, he must be hungry.
Nylune took one packet out and unwrapped it. The okie got to his feet and came at him.
“No. You’ve pushed me around ever since we met. This stops now,” Nylune said sternly. He dropped the meat on the counter and folded his arms across his chest. The okie stopped and stared at him, waiting. He put the meat on a plate and placed it in front of the animal. The okie jumped on it, eating it with gusto.
Nylune quickly prepared Adew’s food and loaded it into a serving bot. He decided to take the food to Adew’s room, so he could easily reach it. He turned on the bot and made his way down the hallway.
He expected to find Adew still in bed, sleeping, but he wasn’t. He stood in the middle of the stand, strapping himself into the machine. Nylune stared at him, fascinated. He’d said the machine was his legs, but he stood up straight – strength in his every movement.
He looked up just as he walked in. His eyes went wide, as if Nylune had seen something he shouldn’t have. Nylune froze, not sure what to say or do.
This was awkward.
Nylune quickly looked away, pretending he hadn’t seen anything. It wasn’t his business, anyway. They had nothing outside of his heat.
“I prepared food for you. I’ll get going now,” Nylune said, then turned to run out of the room, but Adew stopped him.
“Regret calling me your alpha now, huh?” he asked, walking to him. Nylune looked him up and down, taking in his large frame and sculpted muscles. He could see the vulnerability in his eyes, though he tried hard to hide it with his rude words and snappy behaviour. The alpha was broken – not just his body but his mind too.
It was probably hard, moving from being one of the best fighters in the UA to relying on a machine to walk. Nylune’s heart broke for him, but he held his feelings inside because he knew he wouldn’t receive them. Adew was so hard on himself. He wished he could pull him into his arms and soothe him.
He thought of lying to him, but he felt like they were at some kind of crossroads. Though it wasn’t easy being honest with him, he wanted to be. “No. I don’t regret anything. How I felt about you has nothing to do with what you look like. It has everything to do with how you made me feel. You touched the very depth of me, and I wanted nothing more than to submit to you, to give myself to you because you felt like my alpha.”
Adew stared at him for a few minutes before he turned and walked to the clothing cubicle. “I thought you said you would have said that to any alpha Dr Micha brought you.”
Nylune gasped at his words. He couldn’t believe he’d thrown that back at him. Honesty was overrated.
“I guess so,” he said, and walked out of the room. He groaned loudly as he walked out of the back door to the damn hole made by the okie, because he hadn’t used the front door when he came there four days ago.
That damn okie. He wouldn’t be in this mess if it weren’t for him. Now, he was stuck with that jerk of an alpha for the foreseeable future.
