Jamue tried not to fidget.

Seconds ticked by, and he just stood there...his eyes growing darker. Something electric sizzled between them.

Goosebumps dotted his skin, and his stomach tightened.

Shit. He couldn’t get sick. Not in front of him.

He reached for his perfect omega side - the one his parents had drilled into him. Jamue smiled and gave him a slight bow.

“Good day then, I hope you enjoyed your visit,” he forced out and walked past him. He made his way out of the double doors into the reception area. Nava was busy mingling with their visitors. Jamue joined him.He moved from one guest to another doing what he did best, selling their spirits and making deals with potential leisure room owners. He hardly saw a certain tall alpha staring at him from across the room. Deltta, Djohn and Griean arrived to support Mac. The two alphas drove their visitors crazy.

Jamue looked around the crowd to see if Hym was still there. He gasped as he found him standing in a corner staring at him.

Just ignore him, he told himself moving around the crowd. But he felt his gaze all the same.

He breathed a sigh of relief as night fell and they said goodbye to their guests.

They cleaned up and sent the serving bots into the room with their cooking station. They washed the glasses and wiped the bots clean.

Nava chatted excitedly about their opening day. Jamue responded where he could, though his mind was on a very tall and gorgeous alpha. He couldn’t stop thinking about him. He couldn’t figure out what was it about him that affected him so much. He wasn’t the handsomest alpha he’d ever seen. He was just…

Jamue didn’t know.

“Are you okay?” Nava stopped wiping down the counter and stared at him. “You look pale.”

“I’m fine. I’m a little tired, I guess,” Jamue lied.

He knew what was wrong with him. Thinking of the alpha was affecting him. He should really stop.

Nava moved to the chilling compartment. “I haven’t seen you eat anything since you came back. Did you eat lunch? You did disappear a while back.”

Nava gave him a concerned look.

Jamue shook his head. He hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday. His stomach growled at the thought of food.

“Sit. I’ll make you something to eat,” he said.

“Thank you,” Jamue said, disappointed in himself. He had to start taking care of himself. And stop thinking about a certain alpha.

Chapter 7

Hym

He was going to leave without seeing him. Hym hesitated at the door, but there was nothing he could think of to stall anymore. The desire to see the omega thrummed inside him like a live being. He wanted one last glimpse of him…he needed it.

He stood there, willing the doors to open one more time.

Come on, baby, let me see you, he thought desperately.

But the doors remained shut. Like Smoky Blue, he yearned for one last taste after he drank it too quickly.

The omega was like that to him.

Addictive, gorgeous, and enticing, everything he'd ever wanted. And like a fool, he’d gone in too quick, without thinking.

Hym silently groaned.

He watched Tarymn walk to the pod, the two cylinders he’d convinced Mac to sell to him clutched against his chest. He opened the pod and put them inside, then turned to him.
