Jamue walked to the door. “I’ll be back soon.”

“The driver is out front,” Mac said.

Jamue waved to him and made his way out of the building. The alpha came to him and walked the bot to the parking dome. They got into the pod and drifted towards the national district, where all the alphas in the council lived.

The houses were big and expensive, showing off the wealth of their planet. Jamue wondered if the omega was bonded to one of the alphas in the council.

Probably.

His father would shit himself if he came home with an alpha from the council of alphas.

The alpha would have to touch you first…yeah, maybe not.

Jamue sighed bleakly.

He shoved the thoughts out of his mind just as the pod drifted to a stop in front of the house. The driver helped him walk the bot to the door.

“I won’t take long,” Jamue told him.

He knocked at the door, and the house manager opened for him.

"Good morning," he bowed slightly, and took control of the bot. "This way, please. He's waiting for you." He walked him to an outdoor sitting area overlooking a gorgeous garden.

Dressed in all white, the beautiful omega stood up from a massive couch and stared at him. The flowy lounge shirt made him look delicate and soft, with a sensualness that made Jamue jealous. He looked far more gorgeous than he remembered.

“Finally,” he said, clapping his hands as the beta stopped the bot before him. “Open it up, Pitra. I’ve been waiting for these for months now.” He gave Jamue a disapproving look, puckering his lips. “What took you so long?”

Uhhh…

The omega narrowed his eyes on him. “You forgot about me, didn’t you?”

“No. Of course not. We…”

He waved him off. “Have a drink with me, and I’ll forgive you for forgetting about me.”

“I couldn’t. The spirits are yours. Besides, I’m at work.”

“Exactly. You talk customers into buying more of your spirits. Who knows, maybe you might convince me to buy some,” he said, giving him a wicked smile, which made him more gorgeous.

“Okay, uuhhh...” Jamue said, unable to resist him.

"Luci," he said.

"Luci. Please tell my driver to go, I’ll connect with him after an hour.”

“Pitra, please bring us glasses and talk to his driver. I’ll go call Ludiin. He needs a break,” he said, walking back into the house. The beta followed him, leaving him alone.

Jamue stared at the door, wondering what he’d gotten himself into. He turned to the garden and took a deep breath. It was beautiful and serene.

If he lived here, he would stay in this space for hours.

He walked to the couch and sat down. A minute later, the door opened. Jamue turned around when no one walked to the couch to join him.

He thought Luci had returned. But an alpha stood there, staring at him.

Jamue frowned.

Where have I seen him before?
