“Just go home, Deltta.”

“Not on your life,” Deltta bit out and made his way to the parking dome.

“Deltta?”

Deltta ignored him, the alpha inside him refusing to give in.

***

Deltta bounced on the balls of his feet; his eyes focused on Pharyi. The alpha stretched and made a show of getting ready.

One minute, that's how long he planned to indulge the motherfucker. After that, all bets were off.

The alpha sentinel stood between them, laying out the rules; there was no hitting, only pinning each other on the mat.

Simple and painless.

Well, Deltta was going to make it hurt.

The alpha sentinel called them to the middle. Deltta clenched his hands into fists.

Pharyi's supporters shouted his name, their voices echoing around the sphere.

Any second now.

“Are you ready?” the alpha sentinel asked, looking from him to Pharyi. He raised his arm and let it fall between them.

Pharyi came at him immediately.

First mistake, Deltta thought, planting his feet. Pharyi slammed into him, hard. He recoiled, hitting the mat with a resounding thud.

The sphere went quiet.

Deltta stared down at him.

Pharyi jumped to his feet and shook it off.

This time he came at him cautiously. But he still was no match for him. Pharyi gripped his arm and tried to pull it behind his back. Deltta quickly reversed their positions, easily twisting his arm behind his back. He pulled hard, smiling in satisfaction as a popping sound filled the silence.

Pharyi cried out in pain as he dropped to the mat. Deltta pinned him down, settling all his weight on him.

Pharyi gasped for air. "I thought you were on medication.”

“I am. The drugs make me a bit slow, but I can still hold my own,” Deltta said. “Did you think the drugs would render me impotent?”

“That’s what they’re supposed to do. They suppress that side of you,” Pharyi bit out through clenched teeth. “You’re not supposed to beat me.”

“Sorry. Today is not your day.” Deltta snapped his arm back again for good measure.

Pharyi screamed.

The alpha sentinel stepped forward to stop the fight. Deltta raised his hands and got off him.

He gave Pharyi one last look and walked out of the cage. The alphas scurried away from the gate, getting out of his way.

“Are you happy?” Tarymn asked as they walked down the aisle.

“No. I wish I broke both his arms,” he growled out. “Look into Gyry and Biwen. They’re involved in this somehow.”
