“Ah. Temporary or new?”
“I don’t know. Both? I gave Neil six months of space, and he didn’t find his sub. I move Alain in and within twenty-four hours, Neil is calling him Kitten. And sure, Alain is beautiful and sweet, but…”
“But?” Brandon watched him, expression curious, interested. “You aren’t interested as well?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know anything. I am a Dom that knows absolutely nothing.” He laughed, but it was true. This was all new to him. “Except that Neil is mine again, and Alain is easy on the eyes.”
“Easy on the eyes and available, but poor as a church mouse and needing a job, right? That’s a complication.”
“He can get a job. He wants one in fact; he was talking about it. Not that he’d need one if Neil and I were—” He squinted at Brandon again. “Oh, I’m on to you.”
“Onto me? I want what’s best for all three of you, not any two of you.” Brandon shook his head. “I think what I wanted to make clear was that he’s not Cyrus’s boy. He’s Cyrus’s client.”
He nodded. “True enough. And Alain is ready for more. He’s—not complaining at all; you can see how grateful he is to Cyrus—but he’s said a few things that make it clear Cyrus isn’t enough anymore.” Like sex. Alain was a sensual creature. “Just serving isn’t hitting all his buttons.”
“I suppose I can understand that. That’s a certain type of sub, I imagine. That would make my Peter…grumpy.” Brandon’s grin was sheer wickedness.
“Speaking of Peter, I need to let you go so I can finish my day and get home to those boys.” He leveled Brandon with a look. “My staff will call in the X-ray, and she’ll give you the paperwork. You head over there right now.” He opened a cabinet, pulled out a wrist brace and stabilized Brandon’s wrist. “Let’s see how that works instead of the bandage too. Rest. Don’t use it. Ice and heat. Yes?”
“Got it.”
Isaac arched his eyebrow as Brandon immediately reached for his wheel. “No. Let me get Peter for you.”
He left the room just long enough to find a nurse and have her bring Peter, then went right back in. “You are clearly not to be trusted.”
He grinned as Peter came into the room just as Brandon tried to protest.
“You have a brace,” Peter went right to Brandon. He was boyish and adorable, and Isaac could see the concern in the boy’s eyes. “What’s the plan?”
“The plan is—” Isaac made sure to speak first. “He can’t use it at all for at least three days. At all. No chair, no work, no nothing. Rest. Ice and heat. And he’s on his way for an X-ray. Lisa will have all the details. So he can bitch, but this is doctor’s orders.”
“Yes, Sir. I’ll look after him, Sir.”
Peter had no idea how sweet he was. “Good boy. Don’t let him punish you for doing the right thing.”
“As if I could stop him.” Peter winked at him, but those hands slid over Brandon’s shoulders, comforting him. “So X-rays, then brunch, Master?”
“See what he does? Now he’s bribing me with pancakes. So naughty.” Brandon rolled his eyes playfully.
“Just remember, blowjobs are very low-impact.”
“Incredibly.” Brandon’s smile was purely evil. “I’ll keep this in mind.”
He opened the door and held it for Peter. “Nothing. Not a thing. Rest.”
“Yes, Sir. I won’t let him use it at all.” Peter winked. “I’ll just have to do everything and he can watch.”
These two were made for each other. “Out. Both of you. This is a family practice.”
“Yes, Sir!”
Isaac sent them out to Lisa, who would wrangle radiology and deal with Brandon’s paperwork like the pro she was. As he went back to his office, he was even more glad to have the rest of the week off. He’d been pondering a trip, but thinking on it now, he needed some time at home. Time with Neil, time to understand what was really happening with Neil and Alain, and time to figure out what that meant for him.
He was sure it was all good things; he just needed to get his very ordered brain around a kind of relationship he had no objections to for others, but that he’d never considered before for himself.
He wasn’t a prude. He wasn’t set in his ways. He just needed…a minute.
There was nothing—nothing at all—wrong with that. He had to honor his own needs to give both Neil and Alain what they might desire most.
