“It felt good.” Sky was on the bed, unbuttoning his shirt. “Over half my sponsors are in on the invitational too.”

“It’s going to be amazing.” All the same, he was glad his area was family law and he couldn’t reasonably offer to help Sky with the legal end of things. He would offer to help with other things. He was already planning to take a couple of weeks off around the event, at least this first time, so he could be full-time on it when it counted most. “You need a hand with your boots?”

“I think I’m going to sleep with them on,” Sky teased. “Like a real cowboy.”

“Oh! And on the couch. Like a real cowboy.” He laughed and pushed his hands into Sky’s open shirt.

Sky snorted and leaned toward him. “That’s me. Real. Every inch.”

“That’s no joke.” He pushed the shirt off Sky’s shoulders and kneeled. “Some inches more than others.”

“I’m all yours now. No more league.” Sky sounded awed, he thought.

No more league. That was it. Sky was safe now. The next time Sky worked with them, his husband would be a partner. “It’s kind of bittersweet for you, I know.”

“It was, less every time I say it, though. Now I’m sort of excited. I’m ready to go home.”

“I am too. I miss the hot tub.” And the land. And work, honestly. With Sky home, he finally had everything that defined him in one place. He tugged the boot off Sky’s good foot first. “And we’ll finally get our dog.”

“Yes. A puppy to train, and…” Sky touched his shoulder. “Easy on the other one, huh?”

He looked up, met Sky’s eyes. “That bad? Can I take you to get it looked at when we get home?”

“I think we might have to.” Sky shrugged. “It’s not getting better and flying out tomorrow will suck a little.”

There wasn’t any point in offering to take Sky tonight; he knew what the answer would be. No ERs in Vegas, where the fans were, Sky’s buddies, the league. He could respect that. “Let’s get it off, put it up and then I’ll get you some ice. Tell me when you’re ready, and I’ll be as careful as I can.”

“Promise me we can make out afterward?”

“Like I could keep my hands off you.” He might make Sky take a pill before they went to sleep, though.

Sky’s smile lit him up, balls to bones. “Let’s do this thing. I want you.”

“Breathe.” But he didn’t give Sky much time to think about it. He didn’t yank, but he didn’t screw around either. He grabbed the boot by the heel and toe and levered it off Sky’s foot in one smooth, steady motion.

“Fuck.” Sky went a little gray, sweat popping out on his forehead.

“Tough guy.” He helped Sky scoot back on the bed and propped up the ankle with a couple of pillows. “You want one of your pain pills? I brought them.”

“Maybe later. You promised ice and loving.”

“I did. I’ll be right back.” He gave Sky a quick kiss. “Right back.”

He didn’t like the color of that ankle, but Sky’s hip had been darker for a while, so he wasn’t panicking. All the same, he didn’t waste any time getting the ice. He filled up the bucket and hurried back to the room to fill up the plastic bag they’d been using for a few days as an ice pack.

Sky was naked and stroking himself, hand moving nice and slow on his prick.

Beck paused a second in the bedroom doorway, watching as his own cock filled nicely in his jeans, and brought the ice pack over and sat down on the bed next to Sky. “Couldn’t wait for me, huh?”

“I was fluffing. I didn’t want you to get back and decide I didn’t need you.”

He settled the ice on Sky’s ankle, then shooed Sky’s hand away and took over. “Not to worry, babe. I know you need me.”

“Every day.” Sky looked at him with wide eyes. “I survived bull riding.”

“I know. Trust me, I’m as shocked as you are. I might be happier, though. This was my little impossible dream. You and me playing house. Not nearly as ambitious as being a champ.” His hand moved slowly, just to keep Sky buzzing.

“I don’t know. All I had to do was hang on to ride a bull. With you I hold on, play, laugh a lot, bubble in the tub, cook.”
