“A’ight.” Dashawn walked inside and collapsed onto the couch while I headed back to the kitchen to check on my wife.
“It was Dashawn. We were supposed to take that ride.”
“Fuck,” she cursed. “I forgot about that. I’m sorry, Drix. I didn’t mean to keep you.”
“Man, forget all that. You’re good. If I make this run, will you be okay though?”
“Yeah. I’m going to shower and get in bed honestly.”
“Nah. You need to eat dinner. Call Charm and set something up.” I pulled my wallet out and grabbed one of my cards and offered it to her. She lifted an eyebrow. “Take the card, call Charm, and get a nice ass dinner on me.”
“Drix—”
“You want to argue for real?”
“I don’t need you to buy us dinner.”
“I know but I want to. That’s my job as your husband, you know, to provide and shit. Take that card so daddy can take care of business and come back home to give you the business.”
Myome lifted an eyebrow and snatched the card from my hand.
“Be careful making your run, Berlin,” she warned.
I smiled. “You gon’ be worried about daddy?”
“Mhm.” She nodded and wrapped her little arms around my midsection. “And I don’t want to be waiting all night to reward you for all the providing and defending you did today.”
“Word?”
“Mhm.” Myome licked her lips and my hands went to her ass.
“I’ll be back before you know it.”
“And if I’m sleeping when you get back, wake me up.”
“I got you.” I leaned down and we kissed each other nastily.
“Berlin, I’m not playing. You better wake me up when you get back.”
“I’ll wake you up. I promise.”
“By sliding it in?” she asked.
I lifted an eyebrow. “That’s what we on?”
“That’s what we’re on,” she confirmed.
“Nigga, do I need to get food and water?” Dashawn called.
“Bitch, shut up. I’m coming!” I snapped.
Myome laughed, shook her head, and let me go.
“Bye. Be careful.”
“A’ight.” I smacked her ass. “Get that dinner with Charm for real. I’m going to be checking my account.”
“Okay. I’ll call her. I promise.”
