“You’re full of shit,” Myome accused.

I laughed in response, which made her laugh. I shook my head.

Fuck. I couldn’t believe I told Myome I loved her.

I couldn’t believe I meant it.

I couldn’t believe she hadn’t said the shit back… and I was still getting this tattoo.

That realization had me shaking my head, even while laughing with her.

“Where are we really going, Berlin?”

“You trust me, right?” I didn’t wait for an answer. “Sit back, be cute, and enjoy the ride.”

“Yeah, yeah.” She reached forward to put music on and I bobbed to it while I drove.

As soon as I stopped in front of the tattoo studio, threw the car in park, and cut the engine, Myome’s ass damn near went into shock. She looked from the building to me and back.

“You’re fucking kidding, right?”

“Nah. Come on.” I pushed my door open.

“Berlin—”

Her statement was cut off by me hopping out and slamming the door. I jogged around the car to open hers and she looked at the shop’s sign behind me instead of at me.

“Come on, Yo. This is a busy man. He doesn’t have all night.” I tapped the top of my car.

“You’re serious?”

“Mhm.” I offered her my hand. “Come on.”

She scoffed but let me help her out of the car into the shop. When we walked in, Arris was sitting behind the register by all the piercing equipment. He hopped up as soon as we made it over and dapped me.

“Y’all ready?” he asked. I nodded once. “I already have everything set up and ready for y’all in the back. Come on.”

“Actually, she’s staying up here,” I said.

“Alright. That’s cool too. Take a seat and I’ll have Drix back up in no time.”

Myome cut her eyes at me. I winked at her.

“Get comfortable. I’ll be right back.” I leaned down, kissed her quickly, then headed to the back with Arris.

I didn’t want or need anything crazy.

I got Myome’s name tattooed in a cursive font right above my right eyebrow. I was in and out within minutes. When I walked out, Myome hopped to her feet.

Her eyes widened as soon as she was close enough to see it.

“Is that real?”

“Yeah.” I paid Arris and dapped him. “It’s real.”

“Fuck.” She whistled and I smiled and leaned down while she tried to get a better look.

“I didn’t actually need you to get branded,” Myome said. “You realize that, right? That I was joking?”
