I gasped as I felt his impressive hardness pressing against me. A moment later he added a second finger, the friction sending sparks through my system. His firm chest was a solid wall against my back, reminding me of just how powerful he was.

“Saurav…” I trembled, caught in a storm of pleasure I didn't know how to navigate.

“You want more?” he teased, his lips grazing my shoulder.

”I want you,” I managed to grit out through clenched teeth.

“How?”

“Inside me... please.”

He spun me around, his movements fluid and dark. He moved with a focused intensity, and as he prepared to join our bodies, time seemed to freeze. He moved inside me, his eyes were dark voids of hunger.

“I can't hold back anymore, Kav,” he breathed, his voice a ragged edge. He pushed forward, slowly, giving my body time to accept him. “Is it hurting?”

I nodded slightly, a single tear escaping as the pressure intensified.

“Were you... a virgin?” He stilled, his expression fracturing with a mix of shock and something like protective fury.

I nodded again, the tear sliding down my cheek.

“Damn it,” he hissed softly, pressing his forehead against mine. “I'll go slow. I promise.”

He began to move, a slow, rhythmic tide that eventually pulled the pain away, replacing it with an overwhelming, soul-searing heat. I clung to his muscular arms, shivering under the weight of the moment. He kept kissing me, never once pulling away. It was a night etched into my very bones.

“You're amazing, Kav,” he whispered against my lips as the world finally settled.

“So are you… ”

Later, under the cool spray of the shower, the reality of what we had shared settled over us. We didn't speak; we didn't need to. We simply collapsed into the sheets, drifting into a deep, dreamless sleep, tangled together.

Chapter 19

KAVYA

The shrill cry of my phone sliced through the heavy silence of the room. I bolted upright, heart hammering against my ribs, and snatched the device from the nightstand. Rhea's name on the screen brought a momentary flicker of normalcy. I swiped to answer.

“Hey, happy birthday, my dear lady!” Rhea’s voice chirped, vibrating with excitement.

“Thank you,” I murmured, my voice thick with sleep. I forced a smile I knew she couldn't see, my eyes instinctively drifting to the other side of the bed. It was empty. The sheets were cold, the pillows undisturbed, as if the man who had been there only hours ago was a ghost.

I scanned the room, but the shadows offered no answers. Wrapping the silk sheets around my trembling frame, I padded toward the living room. "Saurav?" I whispered, but the cottage remained stubbornly silent. A cold knot of dread tightened in my chest. To be alone in this secluded place felt less like a getaway and more like an abandonment.

“Hey, are you even listening to me?” Rhea’s voice snapped me back to the present.

“Umm, Rhea... I’ll call you later. I promise.” I didn't wait for her sigh of frustration before hanging up.

I searched the rest of the house, my pulse quickening with every empty corner. Had he gone for an early run? Or had he simply... left? I retreated to the bathroom, scrubbing my skin under a hot spray of water until it turned red, trying to wash away his lingering scent.

In the dressing area, I found a curated selection of clothes and accessories, everything in my size, everything brand new. I wondered if Mr. Chauhan owned this place; the level of preparation was too meticulous to be a coincidence.

I was ready to leave, my hand hovering over the door handle, when a flash of gold on the console table caught my eye. A heavy card sat atop a folded note.

I stepped closer, my breath hitching as I recognized the sharp, aggressive slant of Saurav’s handwriting. I picked up the note.

I was satisfied with your service, so I’m leaving your fee along with a generous tip. This is a golden card; it has no limit. Spend as much as you want. I assume this is exactly why you slept with me.
