“You’re killing me,” I groaned.

Cupping my face with her soft hands, she leaned in, her lips ghosting the shell of my ear. “You can come. I want you to fill me. I want your cum dripping out of me for the rest of the day.”

Then she pulsed her hips up and down, only taking a few inches of me, her tight walls teasing. My cock throbbed, fireigniting in my core, the words spilling from my lips were obscene as unfamiliar pleasure ripped through me.

Fern tilted my head, her lips covering mine. The second our tongues connected I was done for, exploding inside her, filling her with so much cum I wondered if it would ever stop. When she slid down, taking my entire length, I was sure I came again, pleasure ricocheting through my body like a rocket until I could barely breathe.

Rocking her hips slowly, milking every drop until I was a boneless mess beneath her, she reached around me, untying my wrists. My hands instantly moved to her face, pulling her to me so I could kiss her again.

“Perfect,” I mumbled. “You are perfect.”

She wrapped her arms around me as she pressed her face into the side of my neck.

Without another word, I shifted our position, so I was sprawled across the small sofa with Fern on top of me, pulling a blanket over us where we both passed out.

Chapter 18

Fern

“What the actual fuck, Fern?”

It was way too early to be having this conversation, but here we were—Charlie and I—in the house Jarrid had been staying in. It was almost as small as the lighthouse and I couldn’t help but giggle seeing their giant bodies moving around the space.

“Charlie was supposed to look after you, so why do you have a black eye?” Neo fired out, his light eyes dark with anger. “There is way no way I’m reinstating his—”

“Neo, let the woman speak before you go all rage-filled protector on them,” Addi interrupted, offering me a warm smile from the screen in front of me.

Charlie stood, hidden from the camera, tightening his hand in mine, and I was glad he was giving me the strength to tell them what had happened.

“Sorry to bother you both. I know you have lots on and it’s New Year’s Eve.”

“Fern, sweetie, we’re always here for you. You know that.”

I nodded at Addi’s soothing words. “Firstly, Charlie has done nothing but protect me this week, Neo, so you will be giving Alchemy Myth their contract back.”

Neo opened his mouth to say something, but then decided against it, offering me a small nod.

“James did this.” Pointing to the bruise on my face, I paused, sucking in a deep breath before I let the truth out. “He tried to rape me. Charlie stopped him. He saved me.”

Addi gasped, while Neo stood, pacing backward and forward across his home office. “Son of a bitch. I should have never let you go. This is all my fault. If I’d told her you were busy or even checked whether you wanted to spend time with them—”

“Neo, sit down,” I demanded.

Lowering himself stiffly back into his chair, he ran his hand through his now green hair. “Tell us everything.”

So I spent the next hour telling them everything, speaking with the lawyers about a restraining order, arranging for me to have twenty-four hour security for a couple of weeks, Jarrid’s boss agreeing to let him stay with me. Charlie never left my side.

“Are you okay, though? Really?” Addi asked quietly, as if she was afraid her words would break me.

I looked over at Charlie. “I am. Charlie’s been amazing.”

“I knew he had it in him,” Neo replied.

“You literally just accused me of hurting her and fired meagain,” Charlie bit back, leaning in behind me so his face appeared on camera.

Neo’s eyes dropped before he stared back at Charlie. “Sorry, I get protective of our girl and you know, you’ve been a nightmare… for months. You can’t blame me.”

Charlie sighed. “If we’re all being honest, I should admit… I have some… issues with my dad and his new wife. It’s had my head in a bad place. I could have just told you that, but, well, I’m a stubborn prick and I like to tell myself that I don’t need anyone, but this week has shown me that it’s a lot easier to have people on your side, fighting your corner.”
