Chance reaches around to slap the back of his head playfully. “Don’t fucking remind her.”
“I like the whole older-man thing,” I admit. Chance gives me a hungry look that has me wishing we were alone right now.
Dax and Eagle finish their rounds, and then Lust gets into the ring with Custom. I can’t help but wonder where he got the scar that trails across his handsome face.
I finish my drink, and Freya leaves Gunner’s side to come and sit with us. I introduce her to Cash, who can’t stop staring at her. “Did we find anyone for me to fight?”
I’m low-key hoping that it’s Gia.
“No, but I’ll let you know if we do.” Chance smirks, reaching under the table to put his hand on my thigh.
Glancing around the room, I notice one of the women giving one of the bikers a lap dance while he’s sitting on the couch chatting to another biker.
Chance is in this environment every day.
Women.
Fighting.
The world at his feet.
Could I ever fit in here?
I need another drink.

MACKENZIE
“I mean, once you get used to all the tits, it’s pretty cool here.” Freya smiles, winking at Lust as he walks by our table. Chance went to get us more drinks, and we’re taking the time to debrief on what we’ve seen so far. “The men are badass and so fine. Men in leather, who knew?” She scans the room, then pins me with her dark eyes. “That Gia bitch is going to be a problem. She wants Chance. The other women seem friendly enough.”
My eyes go to Sassy, who is on her knees in front of Eagle. “Very friendly.”
“He’s probably been with all the women here,” I say to her in a low tone, my brow furrowing. “How am I meant to handle that? I’ve been with two men aside from him, and I’d like to pretend that Jesse never existed in the first place.”
“It doesn’t count if they never made you come.” She grins.
“Great, so I’ve only been with Chance then,” I mutter, and she bursts out laughing.
My smile drops when I see Cash getting into the ring with Zeek, who Chance explained to me was one of three prospects they currently have.
“If he hurts Cash, I’m going to kick his ass myself,” I mutter, and Freya shakes her head at me.
“He’s the president’s son, Kenzie. I’m sure this isn’t his first rodeo,” she assures me, resting her hand on my shoulder.
Chance puts our tray of drinks on the table and stares up at the ring. “He’ll be fine, watch him. He’s good.”
Cash and Zeek start slow, testing the waters before Cash comes in with some heated punches and a few kicks.
“Everett didn’t stand a chance,” I blurt, making Chance laugh.
“No, that fucker didn’t,” he replies, handing me my cocktail. “There’s been bad blood between their family and ours before Cash and Everett were even born. I went to school with his father, Paul, and we were just like Cash and Everett, like water and oil.”
“What happened?”
Chance scrubs a hand across his stubble. “I fucked his girlfriend at the time, and shit got even worse after that. He’s on the city council and tries to throw me under the bus whenever he can, and he made his son get in on his grudge, too. Everett is just like this father.”
“Of course you fucked his girl,” I mutter.
